Positive: We were looking for an authentic Ireland cottage where it was quiet and homey and this place exceeded everything we wanted! The host's were amazingly sweet and the neighbors were so friendly. We would definitely book here again when we come back!

Positive: It was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing weekend away. Gerardine was so welcoming, had the cottage well heated for our arrival and had left a welcome cake.

Positive: Beautiful cosy cottage and garden. A lovely welcome note and cake and milk in fridge. Owners were very kind and welcoming, checking in text and person that everything was ok.

Negative: Hard to think of anything not to like.

Positive: The location is superb. In a quiet country lane, surrounded by fields. A short walk takes you to the shores of the lough. Lackaroe Cottage gives you peace and quiet, yet it's not far to other places and attractions. Be aware that there's no internet at the cottage - whether that's a good thing or not depends on you!

Negative: The cottage has four bedrooms, and only one communal area, two if you count the upstairs mezzanine area. Perhaps a bedroom could be made into a sitting room instead?

Summary: Peaceful, beautiful location, fantastic hosts, wonderful place to stay.

Positive: Location is lovely and quiet. Owners called to the house to check up on us during the stay and asked how many of us were staying at the house, they drove by again later to look in to make sure we weren't exceeding the number of guests (we weren't). It was a bit invasive. Signs all over the house with excessive rules-hoovering all floors and emptying bins before leaving, charging 6euro for an EXTRA BIN LINER, only 4 guests allowed in the house even though advertised as sleeps 6 (4 bedrooms) and charging for electricity upon departure. Not a very relaxed feel.
