Positive: A great base for exploring Tivoli's Villa d'Este & Villa Adriano. We had no car, so having access to the two bikes, even though they were a bit uncomfortable for our size, was great. After 6 weeks travelling in cities throughout Europe, the setting was a nice change. The managers, Alessia & Pietro, were lovely; attentive, responsive, trés sympa!
Negative: The mosquitos! The place is simply not designed to keep them out. Every window opening allows them in. It was not possible to feel the country air. Nor could you sit outside; it's a low-lying area so mosquitos were everywhere. Having the lights on in the house at night lured them in. It was June, but the whole of Europe was having a heat-wave; only the two a/c's kept the temperature inside manageable. At night, some farmer nearby was burning off something, so the air became smoky. And to cap things off, the property owners' huge dogs were unleashed, barking at all hours of the day & night.

Positive: Amazing location surrounded by olive trees garden! Apartment inside the ancient tower! Conveniently located next to the Villa Adriana and 10 min to Tivoli. Very atmospheric historic place! Parking on the property- great convenience! Garden is magnificent.
Negative: The only tiny minus is very small space for cooking and eating inside. Would be nice to have a small coffee table or anything to have a small dinner on the first floor.

Positive: Host very helpful and kind and offered lots of information on the local area .. He met us at the tower house to help us with checking in .. communication was super .. loved the layout and distance easy walk to town
Negative: Be aware there are about 4 or 5 dogs that bark continuously and all throughout the night we didn’t get much sleep . Think they belong to the owner of the land area .. can’t fault the host or the tower house as they are beautiful
Summary: Lovely tower house .. beautiful gardens but dog barking noise is a pain at times

Positive: Good location outside of town by olive groves and very close to villa adriana. Interesting, characterful building. Very clean. Host was really helpful.
Negative: Tiny kitchen- found it difficult to cook. Cleaners waiting out side for us to leave property- felt pressured to leave. Difficult to get a larger car in and out of property

Positive: Nice place with wonderful views to Tivoli and to park, near main points of Tivoli, well equipped
Negative: It looks like a room of the former guard of the villa’s gates. Now villa is guarded by three big dogs, that can’t be switched off and bark any time they want 24/7. The entrance to the parking through the side garden gates wasn’t for our bmw 3 touring due to its low clearence (ride hight), so we’ve had to park it on the road before the gates. Internet connection and speed were unstable, but the host will manage with it for sure.
