Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location I is magnificent although slightly remote. I takes roughly 30 minutes to Carcassone and Lagrasse. The history of the place is very fascinating as the place was owned by the famous architects family 'Niermans'. The current owner is the granddaughter of Edouard Niermans who designed some incredible building like the Trocadero, Moulin Rouge, Negresco Hotel in Nice, Casino in Monaco, etc.

Negative: However the apartment is in the basement of the chateau and is looking a bit tired and certainly doesn't reflect the grandeur of the architectural achievements of the family. It was dark and you need the lights on even during the day. The swimming pool needs a clean and due to the stream at the bottom of the garden there are a lot of mosquitos.

Summary: Very interesting history, spacious apartment that could do with an upgrade
