Positive: La Portela Riverside has been a most wonderful accommodation for us to stay in. our host on Spanish but google translate helped immensely. it was a short distance from town but there were bikes to ride. The facilities were luxury. They had a washing machine and dryer, so no need to look for a laundromat. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook up a storm! And the bathroom, I wish was mine and even had a bidet. The hosts were the best as they had cold beer and wine to purchase, which after a long day of walking was much appreciated. However, as we were on the Camino Portuguese route they drew a map of how to get back onto the route and a bakery to stop at. Such great service!

Positive: Everything! The attention to detail was apparent from the moment you walked in the door. Leo truly made us feel welcomed, anticipated our questions and even had a map drawn to get us to the Camino route. The amenities and modern updates were wonderful. The view from the deck to the river was beautiful and relaxing. The location was quiet and peaceful. Bikes were available which we did not use. Our time was too short!

Positive: This property was exceptional! We were walking the Camino. The apartment was overlooking the river - follow a boardwalk off the Camino and we arrived at the apartment. The host was there to meet us - Our Spanish is limited, as was his English, but we communicated just fine. He got us chairs and stools for our feet, helped with our backpacks. He could not have been more lovely. The deck overlooking the river was beautiful. We rode bikes back to town and did "take away" food for dinner with a bottle of wine. The host brought us chocolates to go with our wine, and gave us apples for the next day. The washing machine was great and we had enough sunlight to hang our clothes to dry. The beds were comfortable and the shower great! This was a great gift to us while on the Camino, but would also be a wonderful place to stay for multiple nights.

Negative: There is nothing not to like
