Beautiful Studio gite of appr.35m2 with sleeping alcove, veranda and garden; tucked into the Garrigue, surrounded by rosemary and thyme; breathtaking views onto the Pyrenees.
Situated at the edge of Cesseras, a pretty village in the heart of the Minervois, just 7 minutes North of Olonzac, a bigger village with super market, doctors, pharmacy, shops restaurants, bars and a big Tuesday market.
The property consists of two buildings on a plot of 3000m2 with breathtaking views South onto the Pyrenees. It is surrounded by vineyards and Garrigue.
The gite has its own private garden area. The enclosed veranda offers shelter and great views.
The property is just a 5 minute walk to the café/bar in Cesseras,
The property is easily accessable by car.
The gite is open space and has a sitting area with double sofa bed; a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, a dining area and a separate sleeping area with double bed and a shower room with WC and washing machine.
The veranda offers protection against rain and wind and invites you to relax and enjoy nature.
There are also two bicycles available for guests. The area is great for walking and bike riding.
Also, The Canal du Midi is just minutes away where you can walk or ride your bike along the Canal stopping for a glass of wine at a local cave or café.
Every Tuesday morning is traditional market in Olonzac. After shopping stop for a coffee at one of the many surrounding bars that are brimming with people.
For a quick swimm is the Lac du Joarres outside of Homps with restaurant and walking areas.
The Mediterranean beaches are just 50 minutes away.
A visit to Barcelona by car is just 3 hours away. Andorra is about the same distance. You can have both, skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer, but yet a peaceful location away from the hussle and bussle of too many people.

Summary: Dear Paola, you were a wonderful host. You personally added so much to our trip by sharing your knowledge of the area, and including us on some nice walks around the hillsides and vineyards. The views were fabulous. The gite was just right for us and it had all the amenities and more. I particularly loved the little sun porch which was perfect for sipping our morning coffee and afternoon wine. We will surely recommend your gite to any of our friends who want to venture to south western France.

Summary: We spent 4 wonderful days just at the edge of Cesseras surrounded by nature. The gite was clean and it was well appointed. The owner was very helpful and gave us a lot of information re the area. The area is great for walking, hiking or bird watching. We used our bicycles and our doggy was very happy here. We recommend this gite to all travellers looking for piece and quiet, but yet just 5 minutes walk down to the bar in Cesseras.
