Positive: This is a very unique B&B. It's a whole holiday home, a fully kitted Cantina or Tavernetta, with everything imaginable you might need, absolutely spotlessly clean, a kind of 1960's almost Wes Anderson vibe with alot of thought put into it for subletting, including the option to have separate full beds (handy sometimes) as there's a comfy sofa bed. Great bathroom , fully kitted out kitchen, a laundry space and a large private outside courtyard a step up from the house which itself is on a semi walk down level with large windows. Lots of space and comforts, and the nicest people you'll ever meet as your hosts. They met us at the train station, were welcoming like family, and always available if needed. AC was excellent and the place felt very solid during a sudden thunderstorm. The location in the village of St Elia could not have been better. Two minutes walk to everything, but quiet position. These lovely people also drove us to the train and helped with our luggage as we left. We like to support real local families rather than "B&B entrepreneurs" (which can be really shifty in Sicily). This was one of those great examples of the opposite of a space installed for soulless profit. So well taken care of. We would gladly stay here again. Negative: There was no wifi, but we understand Carlo is working on it. It wasn't disastrous for us as we could use our EU phones as hotspots, but it is limiting for travelers who stream, work remotely online or book accommodation along the way. IF you do laundry be aware the machine won't stop on its own, so it needs monitoring and "force quitting" before opening. Had we known it would have saved us a few hours.

Positive: Absolutely amazing accommodation in a beautiful location! ❤️ The host gave us a very warm welcome and was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Whatever we needed, he was always happy to help, and he also gave us great recommendations on what to see and do in the surrounding area. The apartment itself was exceptional, beautiful, and truly charming. ❤️ We felt completely at home there. We especially appreciated that the host arranged a free ride to the train station for us, so we didn’t have to carry our luggage for what would have been around a 30-minute walk. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how much he cares about his guests. I truly believe we will come back again because this place is absolutely worth it. We would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone! If we could give more than 10 stars, we definitely would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you once again for everything. You were absolutely amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

Positive: If you’ve got this far, just book it! Sant’Elia is absolute heaven, and this accommodation is in the perfect location to enjoy it. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, including a big terrace which is lovely to sit out on. It’s only about a ten-minute walk down to Porticello, but Sant’Elia itself is quieter and, in my opinion, even more beautiful. The beach here is wonderful (30 seconds walk away) and there are some excellent restaurants nearby, and the whole area has such a special atmosphere. What made my stay particularly lovely, though, was the family. I had the pleasure of meeting the host’s parents, who took such wonderful care of me. They were incredibly patient, kind and generous, making sure I understood everything and had everything I needed, even when the language barrier made communicating a little more difficult. I felt genuinely looked after throughout my stay. I’m so glad I chose to stay here and feel very lucky to have discovered Sant’Elia. I wish this lovely family every success in the world with their new listing ñ, they truly deserve it. I would come back in a heartbeat.
