Completely renovated. LA NOUVELLE PEYRIERE offers every comfort and charming decor in a restful and relaxing atmosphere. An ideal holiday villa rental for a memorable vacation in the heart of Provence. Perfect for groups of 4-6.
This stone villa with pool is located between Carpentras and Mazan on a wonderful large wooded property (1 hectare) at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The property is surrounded by vineyards.
There is a large pool (4.5 m x10 m) with pool furniture and sunshades. The pool is far enough from the house that no one is disturbed if some people want to wake early and have a swim while others are still sleeping.
Large private terrace that gives onto the garden with its flowering shrubs and huge old trees, large enough for a stroll.
LA NOUVELLE PEYRIERE has 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining corner and living room, a large bathroom with a bath for 2 people, and a second washroom with toilet and sink.
Each bedroom has double French doors opening onto the terrace and garden. The bedrooms are at each end of la Nouvelle Peyriere to give total privacy.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The master bedroom has a double bed (1.6 m wide) and wooden beamed ceiling.
The other bedroom has 2 single beds that can be put side by side to create a king size bed.
Each morning brings bird song from the birds that nest in the pines. It is a privileged moment to appreciate the calm of this delightful Vaucluse villa.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and a special oven (four à pyrolyse).
The dining corner is large enough for 6 people to eat comfortably.
From the kitchen and dining corner you see out into the garden through French doors which allow you to enjoy the calm of the garden and old trees, both pine and oak.
The living area has a clic-clac for 2 people. If the doors to the bedrooms are closed, then there is full privacy.
The large bathroom has a tub for 2 people with a shower head at each end, as well as a handheld shower on the side of the tub. This bathroom also as an exposed stone wall and beamed ceiling. There are also a sink and toilet. The main bathroom has forced air heating / ventilation system.
La Nouvelle Peyriere also has a powder room with toilet and sink.
The large terrace in front of the main door offers lawn furniture so you can better enjoy the calm. The terrace is large enough so you can choose between a sunny area and one in the shade under the pines.
A private path permits you to appreciate the garden and grounds while walking to the pool.
Excellent soundproofing.
LA NOUVELLE PEYRIERE is entirely on ground level. It is accessible for people with reduced mobility who can take a bath or who can install a transfer bench to use the 2 showers at each end of the bath.

Summary: Great little house attached to a larger villa. Nice and cool in the hot summer with thick walls and aircon in all bedrooms. A short walk to the very clean pool with plenty of loungers and shade or sun can be found throughout the day. The pool is shared with the larger attached house but we had it to ourselves most of the time. The property is a short drive from Carpentras where there's a weekly market as well as lots of the usual supermarkets. We took a great drive up to Mount Serein and also made day trips to the Med (1.5hrs) to Saintes Maries De-la-Mer and the great city of Avignon. Thanks Philippe for a fantastic week.

Summary: This is a wonderful cottage set in the countryside outside of Carpentras. The area is very quiet and the cottage itself is well insulated and private. The interior is updated and very comfortable and all the amenities were well suited for the 12 day stay we enjoyed. The swimming pool and pool area were a welcome sight at the end of a long day of exploring Provence and we also enjoyed relaxing by the pool with a book a couple of afternoons! The location of this cottage is absolutely perfect! We drove throughout the Luberon, down to the Camargue, over to Bandol, and up Mount Ventoux on day trips! We would definitely stay in this cottage again when taking a trip to Provence. Thank you Philippe!

Summary: A lovely rural setting, surrounded by woodland and vineyards. The pool is discreetly located a short walk through the trees. It is impeccably maintained and clean. We ate outside all week, cooking in the kitchen or barbecuing. How wonderful for English guests to sit outside at table until midnight and not be cold! The description of the accommodation as rustic is fair, but the facilities are more than adequate, particularly the bathroom, and the extra toilet was useful to have. The main bedroom is the most comfortable. Monsieur Guérin and the delightful Sanya are always ready to assist.

Summary: This converted farm house in a rustic setting had a lot of charm. Not fancy but very comforable. We enjoyed the outdoor grilling and the pool. Very private, yet allowed for socializing with the neighbors.
