Positive: The View of the Pitons and the Carribean from our balcony was excellent other than that, the place was less than mediocre. Our 1st night the room was horrible, the next morning we complained to the manager Leigh and he upgraded us to a little nicer room in the Cashew House, but not much nicer. If we could have found another available hotel we would have checked out of this place in a flash.

Negative: The property is located just above the town of Soufriere and the islands elections were being held a few days after we arrived. Everynight until 11:00 PM the music was so loud . There were dogs barking during the night so we got very little sleep. Very Noisy place. The restaurant on the property had a decent breakfast every morning eggs, toast, coffee, a muffin, bacon or sausage but when we asked for juice we were told 3 mornings in a row no juice. Our last morning there when we arrived several other couples were already eating and they all had juice. We also requested clean towels and linens everyday when we checked in but we repeatedly had to go to the office and ask for clean towels. We also noticed that there is no ice available on the property. We finally had to ask for an ice cube tray to make drinks. House keeping delivered 2 ice cube trays with ice for our fridge and then the next day they removed one of the trays. Also the entry door had no weather stripping at rhe bottom of the door. At nightime you could see light from the exterior lights shining under the door. This made for a little bit of discomfort for us as our 1st room had a giant spider in between the window and the screen so we kept worrying that a spider of some other creepy crawly thing would sneak under the door. If you like animals there was a quail farm on the property along with a horse and donkey and a few cows. Our next to last night there, the power went out right after we turned on a fan in our room, luckily we had just lit a candle so we could see just enough to get out of the place and drive into town. We were also told on line that we could walk to the beach in 10-15 minutes that was not true. In order to get to the beach you would have to walk down the only main highway with no sidewalks or shoulders so you would be walking around hairpin turns with blind spots so you would be taking a huge risk of getting hit by a car. By car it was probably a 10 minute drive to the beach.

Positive: Beautiful view of pitons, nice spacious rooms, lovely staff & delicious breakfast. The fresh mangos from the tree were the best I’ve had so far in St Lucia!

Negative: The smaller pool was never cleaned so we could not use the small pool which was more convenient for us to get to than the other pool. There wasn’t a lot to do at the resort.
