Positive: Spotlessly clean, a budget friendly option on the island with the bus stop 2 minutes away for both directions. Close to the courtesy bus which takes you to the main art galleries and the port which we appreciated due to weather conditions on our visit. Don't expect fireworks when you get there, but we loved the low-key check in experience ;)

Positive: Friendly owner. Large comfortable room, with good bath room and kitchenette. Very near the major galleries.
Negative: Beds were a bit low and soft. Two single beds in the room. There were only a limited number of places to eat near by. The two I ate at were not very good.
Summary: Comfortable spot for a Naoshima visit.

Positive: Great Location, very good value for the price, bikes available for free, just 7 minutes ride to entrance of Benesse Park. Wasn't the comfiest place, but everything available to have a good and safe stay. So 100% recommendation.

Positive: Ice flat apartment near Naoshima town. Comfy beds, kitchen is basically equipped, washing machine available. Available terrace to seat in. Not noisy. -although on the main road
Negative: None Maybe- you need to plan ahead and complete the west side before reaching the place, and then do the south est part

Positive: Nice apartment in a great location. Very close to bus stop and great restaurants nearby. Walking distance to some of the main attractions and free bike hire also available. Could leave luggage as we arrived before check in. Torrential rain on our day of departure and the owner kindly gave us a lift to the ferry port. Would stay again

Positive: Very spacious and clean! Perfectly organized and well equipped. The location is ideal to reach everything by bike (free to use). The owner is very kind and helpful; he even drove us to the ferry in the morning!The house doesn’t look very trendy, but very comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy this wonderful island! Fantastic little restaurants (for ramen and for okonomiyaki) just 1–2 minutes away.

Negative: 5 night stay! Very poor service! Worst we received in Japan! . Advised owners of eta twice. No reply. Could not find owners house to get keys. Big sign says reception points to neighbours house so we walked around block, 3 times. Main issue - No wifi. They knew no wifi. They tried to give us another wifi, didn't work, they knew it didn't work, only attempted to assist when contacted via booking.com (no reply if you contact them directly). Asked if we could use their personal wifi (as we can see they have a big house with 3-4 wifis) Again they gave us a bogus wifi domain and password which did not work. Last day they insisted they drive us to the ferry terminal like this was a good deed & was some compensation. They sent their driver. Free bikes. Most hotels free bikes. Thanks but no thanks.
