Positive: Perfect launching pad to exploring the island. We were only two but could easily have fit four across two rooms (although thin walls in between). Hosts were incredibly welcoming.

Positive: The property was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the port and conveniently close to a 7/11, which made everything easy. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and the overall comfort of the space made it very relaxing. Staying in a traditional Japanese house added a unique and memorable dimension to the experience. A great base for an unforgettable Art Island experience.
Negative: Very little to note, overall a great stay. If anything, being a traditional property, some aspects may feel slightly less modern, but this is part of the charm and experience.

Positive: We moved here from a hotel high on a hill with a fantastic view, which we missed, but it was nice to be in a neighborhood where many little restaurants, the Seven-Eleven, and the port and bus stop were so close. It was nice and relaxing to be in an old house where we could enjoy the decor and spend time together having tea or breakfast. The kotatsu, a heated table covered by futon covers, was fun to experience, as were the dishes of various types. It was nice to have a washer and dryer there as well as heating in every room. The whole experience was very pleasant.
Negative: Although we had no problem with the cold, I probably would hesitate to stay there during the winter.
Summary: A great old-Japan experience with modern conveniences.
