Villa La Cochera is a cottage situated on the south of Costa Dorada, in the village of l'Ampolla managed by Catalan Ways.

We have two offices in l’Ampolla to give support and information on all aspects of your holiday on the Costa Dorada; our job is to make sure you have all the knowledge you need to have the wonderful holiday you deserve.

Villa La Cochera is a quaint country cottage just 5 km from the village of l'Ampolla and the beaches. It is a wonderfully relaxing space with private pool set in lovely gardens . Inside there is an open plan ground floor, fully equipped kitchen and living area. There are two bedrooms, one a mezzanine bedroom with double bed that leads onto to a balcony with views of the coast. The second bedroom provides two single beds. The shared bathroom is spacious. Outside is a magical space as Mr. Cochera, the owner, is an avid gardener. The grounds are landscaped, with flower beds and olive trees, geranium pots and cute pathways. The pool is right beside a shaded barbecue area and sun patio. Come the evening, a cool breeze blows up from the sea and rustles the leaves of the trees. And if it gets just that little too hot in the evening, the villa is equipped with air conditioning. And Mr. Cochera is also an avid boule player so you can enjoy the boule court overlooking the Mediterranean coast. A lovely rural cottage.

This beautiful part of the Spanish Mediterranean, known as the Gold Coast, is famous for its mountains sweeping down to golden sandy beaches. Costa Dorada has a unique climate that is warm in summer and mild in winter.

L'Ampolla is a fishing village that has happily avoided being a tourist destination. Famed through-out the Costa Dorada for its cuisine, the oysters, razor clams and fish all come straight from the waters of the bay. While it does have a gentle pace of life with great beaches, there is still jet ski rental and boat hire for fishing, beach volleyball tournaments and a summer season night-club, music concerts and festivals to provide lots of interesting variety.

Summary: Firstly this booking is not with VRBO but with Catalan ways in L’Ampolla so the booking was not always straightforward and at times lacking in communication. The location map for the property puts it very close to EL,Perelló but in fact the property is 10 minutes up in the hills on rough and often on a dirt track. As for the property it had no TV but the host did offer to supply one when we asked. Our host said we didn’t need the fan or air conditioning as the air blows through the property but when we tried the fan it was broken and the air conditioning was powered off. Certainly not what you expect. Pool was great but the sun bed mattress and the BBQ are certainly long past their prime. Not a property or agent I would recommend

Summary: La zona de barbacoa y piscina un lujo, dentro la casa no falta de nada tampoco. Se nota que la casa tiene un buen mantenimiento y puesta al día, seguid igual.
