Summary: Beautiful location, lovely views, excellent pool, wonderful manager Laura. Property quite small, not good for more than two adults. Kitchenette dated and in need of an upgrade (sink had to be siliconed in, tap loose). Sofa old. Bathroom - shower cubicle rather than curtain would be nicer. Wifi intermittent at best until Laura arranged for proper installation. But nicely decorated and local town Pontremoli is lovely. Lots of good recommendations of what to do and where to eat. Excellent terrace for sitting out. All in all, a lovely place but kitchen and shower need a bit of a revamp.

Summary: The setting of the property was stunning with 360 degrees of glorious mountain scape. The grounds are well cared for and the pool, although very cold, was a delight. Plenty of well maintained sun loungers, tables and chairs and a number of well positioned BBQ grills and areas made for a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Torre which was clean and well equipped. We stayed here for two weeks and although we ate out for most of the time, the apartment certainly catered for all our needs. We were extremely well looked after by the housekeeper, Evalde, who came early every morning to do a variety of jobs including putting the snail in the pool. Although She doesn't speak English and my Italian is little more than basic, she understood and our conversations albeit brief were a joy. The little hamlet of Ponticello was quiet and idyllic. We were blessed with good weather for twelve of the fourteen days we were staying and even on the the two not so good days, it cleared up in the afternoon. The complex was well situated for visiting a number of towns and we enjoyed trips to the mountains, hamlets and the coast - we particularly enjoyed the smart coastal town of Forte Dei Marmi. Considering the area is not particularly "touristy" there were a number of fantastic places to eat. A car is essential to use the plethora of roads that take you up to the mountains. We have enjoyed a number of holidays in areas all over Italy but this has become an area in our top three! The often used phrase is "we'll come again' - we certainly will!

Summary: We had such a wonderful stay in Villa Grande. The Savinis were excellent hosts and made us feel so welcome. The villa has everything you need and features an amazing terrace which is great for eating out and enjoying lazy days. The surrounding orchard and pine wooded area provides shade and great fresh figs and lemons. Having such a beautiful beach right on our doorstep made for a relaxing and memorable holiday. Particular highlights were our regular visits to Paolas for gelato and jumping off Pietragrande. Can't wait to return!

Summary: Our property was wonderful, clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay. The pool and grounds are kept in superb condition and the location is so beautiful and quiet that we had to force ourselves to go out and explore! The surrounding area is full of fascinating towns and villages with amazing mountains and rivers all around. The food, as you would expect, is amazing. There seems to be very few tourists around which adds to the tranquil nature of the region, though the attractions of the seaside are not too far away for those who love crowds. In summary, a superb property and we can't wait to return!

Summary: Nous avons trouvé la propriété très belle et notre appartement très agréable notamment grâce a la grande terrasse dont nous avons bénéficié. La piscine est très belle, proche et offre une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et le village. Le coin cuisine est sympa et la chambre spacieuse. L’intérieur a été peint et décoré avec goût. Summary: Wonderful accommodation! We travel widely and often in Europe, having lived in Germany for nine years. La Casa Torre is a comfortable holiday rental, convenient to country peace and city excitement. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace and an easy walk up to the mountain to Caprio. For a pleasant drive, visit the hill towns in this area (with a good road map). Drop over to Pontremoli – excellent food by the Duomo. The train station connects you to bigger cities. Take the A 15 south to the outstanding sights and shopping (Lucca should not be passed) and the coast. Close by grocery markets are well stocked in Filattiera and Villafranca. The local food and wine are very good. Fresh food and vegetables are outstanding. All-in-all la Casa Torre is hard to beat anytime by any place. It was a great find for us by Internet and we will suggest it to others.

Summary: We stayed at “Casa Torre” for 3 weeks and we really enjoyed it. We visited Pisa, Florence, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, Carrara, the beautiful coast and many other nice places. Our children loved the pool and the huge garden where they played football. We loved the breakfast and the evenings on the spacious terrace, overlooking the pool and the mountains. The apartment is very nice, clean and tastefully furnished. We loved everything of our holiday and we’ll surely come back next year!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Torre. We were really lucky that we found this comfortable and nice accommodation in the internet. The lovely interior, the garden, the terrace (where we had wonderful breakfast and dinner) the surrounding villages convinced us to return hopefully very soon. In short: this is the perfect place to relax! It has been a very nice time and we regretted that we had to live.

Summary: Cassa Torre is located in a beautiful, green neighbourhood, close to a small village. It´s a lovely, nice place with a big garden. The house is comfortable, well equipped and had a great own terrace. We had really enjoyed our holiday!! ...we would recommend it to everyone!!!

Summary: Three days greatly spent with family and friends in the heart of Italy. Green all around, pure and fresh air, no smog, no lorries, no chaos, none of that spoil big cities but open wide and wild areas. The unique kind of architecture still being used in this beautiful area talks by itself of a peace Italy's history. The "Casatorre" holiday house is really very well equipped with very functional flats/rooms and yet refined and comfortable. I really recommend it to every one!!
