Positive: Mei and her husband have built a magnificent estate of villas . The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s so tranquil and the privacy feels better than staying at any hotel. Mei arranged transport from the port for me and it arrived on time . Mei also organised me a scooter from a company which was a little more expensive 700 pesos a day but it was a new excellent quality bike with abs and keyless function . They gave me an access control to come and go as I please . The beds are incredibly comfortable and linen high hotel standard . Pillows amazing . The towels are fluffy and amazing . Showers warm and great pressure . Sandles provided . Kitchen has everything you need and purified water provided . The lap pool is amazing . Mei also helped to coordinate my laundry with the company I used in the area . 360 laundry - so reasonable including pickup and delivery . The Airconditioning is brilliant . The family who run la Bonita will do anything to make the stay amazing . 10/10 better than staying at any mainstream hotel . With a scooter it’s a short drive from main areas . Highly recommend this hidden gem !

Positive: The property is beautiful and peaceful. Mae went out her way to make your stay perfect. She helped with transportation to and from the airport and got us a motorbike rental delivered and picked up at the property for us. The beds are super comfortable, the a/c blows cold, the WiFi is fast and reliable and the pool is large and refreshing.

Positive: I loved the clean spacious room and the overviewing terrace above the unit. +the way the place was built and the materials used was way above the countries standard. During my stay in February I had the pool pretty much for myself the whole day but I mostly did my rounds of swimming before it got too warm in the morning anyways. And yes, the pool was clean too! Its good that not all of the villas are being rented out yet, but slowly and gradually the others are being carved out and renovated to the standard of quality that I prefer a vacation home to have. I would totally recommend this place to my easygoing friends who respect that this place is run by a hardworking couple.

Positive: The host Mae, is very sweet and accommodating. She went off of her way to make sure I had everything I need. The room was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and fresh water. The bathroom is spacious and the 60 inch smart TV was nice to watch movies on. They have a beautiful pool that the owner cleans daily and the rooftop decks on each unit really add another dimension to the room. The mini split AC kept the room chilled and the ceiling fans inside, on the front porch and on the rooftop deck kept me cool and comfortable. The wifi worked great. It's close to Alona and centrally located but it can be a little tricky to find. Once you find it you'll be happy every time you come home. Great place for me. I'll always stay here when I'm in panglao!!

Negative: There isn't anything that's a deal breaker for me but I wish they had a closet for your clothes. Especially for long term tenants like myself. The road to the villas is a dirt road. A little bumpy but really no big deal.
