Positive: Lovely situation with enough privacy and parking. Everyone was friendly, especially our host. It’s in a quiet, part of the countryside with few cars and so was very peaceful.

Negative: Nothing really, if I had to put something I could say perhaps the open loft area could have been curtained off but it wouldn’t stop us going again.

Summary: A great base for exploring the countryside and history of the borders. We will return.

Positive: The cabin was in an excellent location. It was positioned in a beautiful spot offering fantastic views, peace, and a wonderful secluded spot at the rear of the cabin. The cabin was an amazing use of space, finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. It was well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. Jenny, our host was lovely. Very welcoming and informative but with a discrete presence.

Negative: There was nothing about the cabin that we didn't like.

Summary: A warm welcome, beautiful location and amazing use of space.

Positive: Fabulous converted property, perfect for my wife, I and our Spaniel. Clean, warm and well equipped. Jenny (and Bracken) were great with quick and clear responses prior to our stay. Beautiful walks locally and a fabulous village pub, The Pheasant which is a 5 min walk away. Would highly recommend.

Positive: Beautiful setting in a lovely quiet village. Excellent access to Carlisle and surrounding areas. The bed was very comfy and the bedding smelt amazing They’d gone to great effort to provide lots of information about the area which was appreciated

Negative: We stayed 2 nights and we used the kitchen facilities. We could have done with an extra pan and a smaller frying pan to fit on the hob.and larger cups for a decent sized coffee in the morning ☕️

Positive: What an absolute hidden gem. From the second we arrived we felt relaxed. Excellent quality of bed, bedding and kitchen facilities. Spotlessly clean. Dog friendly. The view from the bed was picture postcard. We will definitely be back. Jenny and Bracken were very friendly and helpful. Lovely hosts .

Negative: There was nothing not to like. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

Positive: Everything was absolutely perfect! The cabin is incredible, the village is beautiful and the host is absolutely amazing. Our new dog barks a lot so we cannot stay in the hotels and have to stay in detached cottages, cabins and shepherd huts. This cabin is the best place we have visited so far and it would be difficult to find anything better. Everything inside works perfectly, the beautiful handmade furniture is designed to fit the space ... we were amazed how cleverly designed the cabin is. Our dog loved the garden and she enjoyed watching the birds in the field behind the cabin. We loved absolutely everything and we will be back. The host is so friendly and helpful, she recommended some lovely walks in the area and even kindly offered to post my jacket I left in the cabin. We declined this kind offer as we want to come back and collect it, it would be nice to explore the area near Brampton a bit more
