Positive: It on the GR22 route. The couple is very nice. There is a store to buy food nearby

Negative: We could not check in until 17:00. We had to wait in the heat in order to get in. They need to provide a lockbox. It was too hot in the bedroom to sleep and there were ants in the game room. The bathroom is dated and not very nice. It’s overpriced for what it is.

Summary: Not much to choose from in this town. It’s needs some improvements.

Positive: Along with a very spacious and comfortable room that was fitted out perfectly (even had air conditioning!), there was also a games room downstairs with a pool table and table football. The breakfast was of very high quality and certainly satisfied my family, including the two big eating boys!

Negative: No complaints at all.

Summary: We felt both well cared for, and left alone within our own private space. Perfect.

Positive: Though our stay was brief, just one night, we enjoyed it so much we would have liked to have stayed longer. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our host was very friendly and helpful - we could not have wished for better.

Negative: Nothing. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. It was a fantastic find, and I sincerely look forward to staying there again.

Positive: Very spacious room and extremely comfortable bed. Good location, just a short walk to the centre. The host kindly booked a restaurant for us at a local pizzeria (which was delicious)

Negative: The breakfast was very simple. You very much feel like you are staying in someone’s house. We were the only guests, so quite an intimate set up.

Positive: Lovely house. Lovely people. Own entrance to big family room upstairs above a small room with games (table football etc). Nice breakfast. Good maps in room. Friendly bar in the square and great pizza/ pasta restaurant but book if you are here during French holiday times as few other places are open. Delicious pizzas. Note that check is is 1800.

Negative: Nothing really but weather very hot at the moment - so a fan or two may help.

Summary: Lovely people. Easy to walk to town.

Positive: The apartment was really spacious and relaxing with excellent parking and there was a large terrace where we could sit out in comfort and enjoy our last evenings in France. It was lovely to be staying in a property with so much history. The breakfasts were great. They were our last continental breakfasts of the trip before heading back to Scotland and they didn't disappoint. We were also given plenty of flexibility over when to have breakfast. The location was ideal for us. We could have visited Versailles easily from there, but chose to visit Evreux, Chartres and Rouen (for the cathedrals) - all a straightforward drive away. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. A lovely family.

Positive: A superb place to stop over en route - as a family of 5 adults the family suite was brilliant, lots of space, great facilities and comfortable beds. We stayed in a lot of family rooms on our journey through France and this was the best for comfort and space. There was even a pool table which we enjoyed using. The breakfast was excellent too.

Negative: Nothing - although we stayed when it was very hot and a fan in the room would have been good. Otherwise it was perfect for our needs!
