Positive: We stayed here for the second time and absolutely loved it again. The owners are wonderful — so warm, welcoming, and excellent at communicating. They regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel really well looked after. The property is peaceful and comfortable, and the location in Macchiagodena is beautiful — quiet, scenic, and perfect for relaxing and switching off. It’s also a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. The only downside was the weather being cold and rainy during our stay, but the heating at the property was perfect and kept us very comfortable. Everything at the hotel itself was excellent.

Positive: Macchiagodena is the quintessential Italian hilltop town and this charming old stone pile is the best place to stay the night, your gracious & solicitous host Ludo will go beyond the call of duty to ensure your comfort.

Negative: My only complaint is that the room did not have windows to enjoy sweeping views of the valley & mountains beyond, but that's an old castle for you.

Positive: The staff was great and very helpful. The room was big and clean.

Negative: The parking area is a little limited and hotel isn't walking distance to any restaurants. You'll need to drive to get to any restaurants.

Positive: The owners are really lovely and helpful and available to your every query. The property is very authentic and rustic. Loved Macchiagodena and the property location is very central overlooking the amazing mountain views. The common outdoor pool area was really lovely and relaxing.

Negative: Didn't realise that the bed for the third adult would be at the foot of the main queen bed. This is great if you're parents with a young child but not if your adult. Just be aware.
