Positive: I was on a walking holiday, staying in a different place every night for 15 nights: meaning that I have a lot to compare it to. This place topped them all. Edwin and Nadia were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, with tea and coffee available, plenty of surfaces to spread out on and there were lovely touches with paintings and very subtle decorations, giving the place a lovely ambience. The bed was clean and comfortable, I had a good night’s sleep and the breakfast was great – all the things you really want. The setting with a view out to the back over paddocks and rolling hills and fronting onto a lovely road through the village was superb.

Negative: If anything, it could be said that there was too much for breakfast. I had two trays of provisions all to myself, but this is said with 'tongue in cheek'. I was walking again this day, so I was able to stock up well.

Summary: Lovely. I plan to go again

Positive: Excellent communication with the host Nadia, who lives nearby, which is very helpful if you need anything, she is always ready to help! House is located on a very quiet street in a tiny village. In our apartment some windows were facing quiet courtyard and others quiet garden. Parking is free of charge on a public spot just outside of the courtyards gate. There is also an option to park inside owners garage. Place and area around are very safe! Fridge, plastic kettle (glass or ceramic would be even better! ;), coffee machine with capsules, tea, sugar, mugs - all there for a coffee or tea on a terrace in the garden. Kettle had no limescale inside!!! blew my mind, very rare. Bedroom on second floor with adjacent bathroom, big selection of pillows and blankets. Normal wide double bed, not creaky or noisy. Toiletries in the bathroom. Very good shower, water strong and plenty, shame no time to take bath. Next time will stop again for longer time to explore the Fountainbleau forest and Chateaux.

Negative: Nothing negative, just some advice: Street is very dark at night, barely any lights, so have flashlight or phone with flashlight at hand. If parking on a street, DO NOT OPEN DOORS FAST, sidewalk is high and inclined, so you can scratch the door badly!!! Village surrounded by mile long stretch of woods, many animals at night in the dark, drive carefully, we saw 2 small deer on the side of the road. Linen was very clean, but for us ,with too heavy washing liquid smell, washing machine was not rinsing properly, Nadia assured that new washing machine is already ordered and on its way.
