Positive: A lovely house in a beautiful location with lots to do nearby. Anne is friendly host who made us feel very welcome. The house is old and atmospheric but well equipped and cosy. Also good WiFi! The garden and patio are stunning and our little boys loved playing in the garden and in the nearby play area. We very much enjoyed our stay and visited so many interesting locations.

Positive: L'ancienne épicerie ['The old grocery'] is very attractive property in the small hamlet of Le Cercueil. It is an old, traditional building, with the original bell from its time as a grocery store still visible, and plenty of rustic charm in its interior furnishings, which however also have all the modern amenities needed for cooking and dining, as well as TV, wifi etc. One great asset for us was the fact that it's all on the ground floor, and had both a bath and a shower, as one of our group has limited mobility and cannot climb stairs. Le Cercueil is in a rural location and very quiet but there are nice walks in the nearby woods and farmland, and a short drive takes you to many interesting and historic villages, towns and other nearby attractions. There is a lovely garden with fruit trees and a nice view over the adjacent fields, with deck chairs, a barbecue etc.

Negative: A microwave would have been useful but is not essential.

Negative: That it rained so many of our days there. We could not spent the whole week there but Paris called.
