Positive: We planned to visit a few places and buy some of our favorite Anjou wine. L'école Buissioniere seemed like a quiet, rural spot for a relaxing getaway. What a surprise! This historic, stone, rural cottage turned out to be a spacious, comfortable residence. Two stylish bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a large, modern kitchen, and a large bathroom. Two people can comfortably shower in a large shower cabin. In addition, we had our own patio and own yard for parking. The hosts are very nice, the place is very clean and wonderfully quiet.

Negative: Nothing, really. When you arrive for the first time, the location of the "school" may not be obvious, although the address is clearly marked and easily found by Google maps.

Summary: We discovered a gem of Anjou!

Positive: Great place. The history of the cottage is very interesting. It is probably typical of a French Gite, but the walls were very thick, which kept the temperatures moderated inside of the house. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was nice with a large shower and 2 sinks in the vanity. I liked the separation between the bedrooms and the bathroom as I used the bathroom at night, and it was nice not to have to worry about disturbing anyone. The hot water was hot and plentiful for the 2 of us. There is a great boulangerie just 2 blocks away ... but sadly, they closed for renovations for 3 weeks right after we got there. My boyfriend really enjoyed the fresh baguette he did get from there our first day and was disappointed about missing out on more. The animals were a novelty, too. The chickens got somewhat close to us, and the other animals kept a bit more distance. The location was good for visits to the lower Loire. The house itself was very rural and quiet. Even the church bells only started at 7am and were not loud. I enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
