Positive: A unique experience truly magical. Room was huge ! Had a onsen on balcony which was bliss We had private onsen experience you can book in advance for a small fee highly recommended. The fine dining and breakfast traditional Japanese food was out of this world . Staff were amazing and attentive Location quiet and perfect Hotel it’s self is peaceful, traditional and well maintained 10/10

Positive: The room was beyond expectations, great design and comfort and very private. The place in itself makes you feel like you're completely isolated. The food was up there with some of the best we've had in Japan. The staff was very friendly.

Negative: Its quite pricey and a bit out of the way, especially if you do not have access to a car.

Positive: Gorgeous property with lovely staff. This was the highlight of the Japanese trip for us! Quite a few locals at the place as well which is always nice. I did a lot of research to find a ryokan that had a private onsen in the room as well as a lovely ground outdoor one for private booking and this one ticked all the boxes! So lucky I found this place! Food in the private dining was also lovely. It really felt like a proper 5 star experience so it was well worth the cost. The shuttle pick up was also extremely punctual and convenient.

Positive: One of the most memorable experiences from our two-week trip to Japan was our stay at a serene ryokan after five intense days exploring Tokyo. It was the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the rest of our journey. We chose Kyo Yunohana Suisen because it offers private onsen baths and is located near Kyoto. The kaiseki cuisine was exquisite, showcasing seasonal ingredients with beautiful presentation. The overall service was outstanding—thoughtful and attentive. The lounge, in particular, stood out for its quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Negative: One minor downside was the private bath. While it was made of hinoki wood, which added a lovely aroma, the natural material had some moss buildup, which made it feel slightly less hygienic.Whole experience was amazing tho

Positive: The best customer service I have ever experienced at any accommodation. The food was so beautifully arranged and the garden view is immaculate. Never had such a relaxing experience until I found this ryokan. Will come again if I ever get the chance to!
