Positive: The owner is great. Kind and thoughtful. She doesn't know English very well, yet she tried to help us in any way. She made it a unique experience.

Negative: The beds weren't comfortable, I couldn't sleep well because of it. It was very cold when we were there and there was no heating unfortunately.

Positive: It was a wonderful cultural experience staying in the home of Kulla and Lulash. They were very welcoming and gave me an opportunity to learn some new Albanian words. I like that the accommodation is situated on the edge of town closest to the waterfall which was wonderful to visit. There are several restaurants nearby also.

Negative: The room was a little cold, but the bed was toasty.

Summary: Thethtastic.

Positive: The place is very cosy and nice. The hosts are helpful and super, super friendly - really wonderful people. Cleanliness is 10/10. The place is cute and quiet (especially in Theth), good value for money.

Negative: Unfortunately, our beds were really bad (super old & used) and the curtains in the rooms were completely see through. There might be better ones in other rooms though. Access can be a bit tricky for some cars (our taxi dropped us a bit further down the gravel road - but our taxi back picked us up right at the door).

Positive: I didn't realize Theth has become rampant with tourists, so upon my arrival I was ready to leave but as it was late and I was tired I found this place, which was the cheapest option, and stayed overnight. My hosts were very lovely people who have offered their home as accommodation. The amenities are minimal but the hosts kindness and community-building spirit shine above that. It's a very authentic Albanian experience. My cabin was small but I slept well and woke to an extraordinary view. It was my highlight of visiting Theth.

Negative: Theth.. Lol. Too many tourists for my liking. After I left Theth I found the most extraordinary two villages that offered even more than Theth could in terms of being peaceful in complete nature and a true Albanian experience, and will keep them a best-kept secret :-)
