Positive: The Location is really good.
Negative: My room number 13 faced the street and a streetlamp directly in front of my window shone brightly into the room. This made it impossible to sleep as it never got dark despite blinds. Furthermore, despite the chilly 4°C outside, there was no heating in October. I froze and had to wear my down puffer jacket constantly. The TV remote was missing and wouldn’t turn on. The mattress was too hard for comfortable sleep. The bathroom also lacked ventilation, so it smelled mouldy after showers. While the price was reasonable, it was probably my least favorite and lowest value for money stay ever. If you’re booking a room other than number 13, you might be okay with this hotel.
Summary: A rather BRIGHT example of a bad hotel expierience

Positive: Good value for money compared to other hotels in Kars. Simple and functional. Top location right in the center. 10 minutes walk from train and bus stations. Staff is friendly and offered us tea on arrival and departure. Late check in. Seemed clean.
Negative: needs proper window blinds as it is a little too bright from outside street lights during the night would be good to have at least a kettle in the room to make some tea or coffee wifi is too slow and often cuts out, needs better router setup. no room service or fresh towels on multi day stays.
Summary: A good simple budget option in Kars with room for improvements.

Positive: Reception was polite and helpful in answering my questions despite the language barrier. The hotel is the best location you can get as it is right on the main shopping street and the castle/old Kars are only 15 mins by walk.
Negative: If you are sensitive to noise, keep in mind that this hotel is in the loudest part of the city so it may not be ideal for you in that case. Some very minor cleanliness issues such as a rotten grape in the corner of the room lol.

Negative: No lift, need to carry the huge luggages . There is no space to stand in the shower room.
