Positive: I really liked the traditional ryokan stay, with tatami mats and futons. The owner is very friendly and provided us with directions to a nearby restaurant and other recommendations. It's really near the castle, which was nice to see and a quick walk to the station if you're here on Shimanami Kaido-related business ;)! Overall it had everything we needed.

Positive: The staff was very friendly, and helped me figure out a bus schedule. The location was perfect right next to the ferry. I did the Shimanami Kaido, biked to Habu and took the ferry back. It dropped me right off next to the ryokan. The place has a full onsen, and was clean. I think some of the rooms may be smoker friendly, but I didn't notice any residual smell.
Negative: The room was on the small side, but I travel light so was not a problem. Also a consideration they look the doors at night, so if you're not in, you're not in!
