Positive: There was a breakfast bar with, cereals, toast, croissants, fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice. Coffee or tea, then your choice of any combination of all the breakfast foods one would expect. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented really well.

Negative: They could use a better quality tomato. But, really, this was a perfect stay.

Summary: Impressed by every aspect of the Kinloch Hotel, from staff to restaurant, facilities to the rooms.

Positive: Clean, great location, good parking We were a couple who had travelled up from Derbyshire for a weekend break. After a busy day rushing around and trying to squeeze in so many things we arrived at the hotel at 6 o’clock. We were warmly greeted ,we were offered the chance to book our evening meal with the hotel, so glad we did. There is a swimming pool and sauna available at your request, but this does only open eight till eight. The room we had looked out to the bay which was stunning, the bedroom was clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and fully functioning with beautiful soaps from a local company, and a hairdryer was provided. The restaurants food is good value and good quality, the service given by the staff was fantastic. Breakfast in the morning is also in the restaurant area which offers you continental fresh fruit cereals and a cooked breakfast. In short we would happily return to this hotel and felt that we were completely looked after. Please be aware the fuel stations on the island close at 1730hrs as this nearly caught us out!

Positive: We had a dog and the hotel is advertised a dog friendly. It’s not. Dogs are not permitted in the lounge or restaurant. They are in the bar but you are not permitted to eat in the bar. You’re either dog friendly or you’re not.

Negative: A space where you can take your dog to have dinner.
