Positive: Security & Peace of Mind: This property is, without a doubt, one of the most secure accommodations you'll find. With 20 cameras and an elaborate alarm system, the owners have invested heavily in guest safety. If security is a top priority for you, this place excels. You feel completely safe on the compound.

Negative: Unexpected Wildlife: Be advised that croaking lizards do appear unexpectedly in the rooms. Lizards are a common, harmless, and almost unavoidable part of life in tropical climates, especially in lush, garden-rich environments like this one. For some, seeing lizards adds to the authentic Caribbean experience. However, for guests who are easily startled or have a strong fear of small creatures, seeing a lizard in your room could be a significant issue. They are not dangerous but can be surprising.

Positive: Lovely garden to relax in, full of the sounds of nature. The air con in the bedroom is very effective and the guesthouse is spacious with a comfortable bed, cooking facilities and a large lounge. Fleur is very helpful, even giving a mobile phone for non Jamaican guests to use for calls. The area is quiet, safe and close to the universities (you can take advantage of a swim at the Olympic pool at UWI 350jd followed by a fresh coconut. )Ubers are convenient and economical ways to go downtown, to lively Kingston Night market on Tuesdays or to Kingston Dub club on Sundays. A good spot for getting into the hills too for a sample of Blue mountain coffee. Ubers from here are also great ways to meet Jamaicans and possibly find a driver to take you further afield. The breakfast is lovely at Kingston cottage and can include Ackee and saltfish at the weekend. The caretaker gardener here is really friendly and helpful.

Positive: The property is conveniently located close to UWI campus. Fleur our host has been exceptionally detailed in property upkeep and even has a spare mobile for guests. The house is spotless clean and equipped with nearly all amenities. I would highly recommend this home away from home.

Positive: The Cottage is located in a quiet area and is close to the University of the West Indies as well as the University of Technology Jamaica campuses. The location was excellent for what I needed. Breakfast options were always tasty and a mix of local and international options. The cottage was clean and spacious and there was coffee and tea available. Fleur was extremely kind and very detailed in her description of the property - if you forget something though, there is a cottage manual that gives all the information you will need for your stay. The staff on the property (Natalie and Anthony) were very pleasant and extremely helpful. The Welcome Basket with Jamaican treats was definitely an added bonus!

Positive: The host and her assistant were very friendly and helpful when asked questions. The apartment was well equipped with security features and therefore it made our stay even more comfortable. Perfect location!

Negative: The apt. lacked the supply of napkins or paper towels when serving breakfast and also for use in the kitchenette area. Without an exhaust fan in the bathroom; a deoderizer (air refreshener) would be nice if provided.

Positive: Our host Fleur was very helpful and welcoming, we would have come back three weeks later but the cottage was already booked. It was bigger than I expected. The garden around it is beautiful.

Negative: couldn't come back!

The hosts and staff were pleasant and very helpful in adjusting to Jamaica, even though it was for a short stay. I appreciated the frequent check-ins. It was suitably placed close enough to public transportation, facilities like supermarkets, and the grounds were well-kept with beautiful garden arrangements. It offered an oasis from the hustle and bustle.

Positive: My wife and I stayed with our baby at Fleur's place, the Kingston Cottage, for 6 days. It has been a wonderful stay. Fleur, as well as Barbara and Natalee are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful! They have made our stay wonderful. The food was delicious (free breakfast), and it even included local food if wanted (fresh from the garden). The apartment was clean, safe, spacious and basically there was everything we needed and even more. Before we came and every two days, they disinfected all surfaces. They even moved the furniture to clean underneath and steam cleaned the couch! The garden was beautiful, so many fresh mangos and other crops! Fleur is a true professional in the art of gardening! 10 out of 10, we can totally recommend this place! If we could give more than 10 points, we would.

Summary: AMAZING! 10 OUT OF 10! Safe to stay with baby, too! The most friendly people!
