Our vacation home, completed October, 2019 is located in Indian Beach, a few miles west of Galveston proper. We have beach and bay views, both about 4 blocks away. This 3 BR, 2 full bath bay house offers plenty of room + 600 sf of covered and open deck for your outdoor enjoyment. There is covered parking for 2 cars and more entertainment space at the ground level. The 30 x 72 ft driveway gives room for large motorcycle trailers, boat trailers, etc. When you walk up the stairs, you walk through the 400 ft covered beach-facing deck. This is where we like to spend most of our time. When you enter the house, you will see we have an open concept living/dining/kitchen area where you can cook, eat, watch TV, play games together or just relax and listen to the waves crashing on the beach 4 blocks away. Fully equipped kitchen and all new appliances provide the tools you need for cooking and we have suggestions on local eateries you can try, as well. We provide a Keurig coffee system, coffee, filters and tea for your convenience. The king bedroom has a king bed, private exit to the covered screened deck, TV, closet and attached master bath with extra large shower and double shower heads. We offer plenty of soaps, towels, etc in both of our bathrooms. The queen bedroom has a queen bed, TV, large closet, attached 2nd full bath with garden tub/shower combo. This 2nd bath also has a door that opens to hall for flexibility. The bunkbed room has a bunkbed with double mattress on bottom and twin on top that will accommodate 2 adults or 4 kids comfortably, storage and a private exit to the west balcony. There is also an east side open deck that runs the length of the house where you can see cows grazing and an occasional coyote trot through. On the ground level under the house, there is covered parking for 2 cars, a charcoal grill with charcoal and grill tools provided, and a table and chairs for additional entertainment space. Also on the ground level under the house, we have just added a cool 7-foot kid's tube slide, 2 kid's swings, a porch swing, and a toddler swing. Enjoy our outdoor shower with hot and cold water after a day at the beach. Also we provide 2 adult bicycles, several boogie boards, wagon, kids sand toys and beach towels for your use at the beach. For some volleyball fun, we provide a volleyball net and ball and for the basketball lovers, we have a basketball goal and ball. We have added a ping pong table and a mini pickle ball court. These are a few local restaurants nearby in Jamaica Beach about 2 miles away: Nates Seafood, Way West Pizzeria, Shrimp and Stuff food truck, Subway sandwich shop. Also in Jamaica Beach is Seven Seas grocery store and meat market, a liquor store, convenient stores, and a coffee/wine bar. Also, the West End Marina Restaurant/Sandbar Grill is located in nearby Sea Isle. There is a children's park located in Jamaica Beach. We are located just 3 miles from Galveston State Park.

Summary: We had an amazing time at this property! It was a last minute change in our stay due to the hurricane damaging the property we originally were supposed to stay at. We are so thankful we found "the blue house" as our 3 year old still refers to it 2 weeks later. Julie was so accommodating and we truly had everything we needed for our family there. They were so kind to get everything set up for us before ojr arrival and it felt like we wrre walking into our home when we arrived. We will definitely be back!

Summary: We had a wonderful experience staying in this house. Everything was as listed and it even had toys and other entertainment inside and outside. Communication with the host was good and the house was nice and clean. Outside area was pleasant with plenty of sitting areas. We will come back!

Summary: We had a very warm welcome. Walked into the house with music playing on the TV and it smelled amazing and very clean. The house was exactly as advertised and conveniently located. Our family had a really good time. Our almost 3 yr old grandson loved the slide (he thought that was just the coolest thing) and the beach toys. This house had all the conveniences of home. The only suggestion I would have is to add blinds or curtains in the living room/dining room. With the summer sun bearing down that part of the house stayed really warm.

Summary: My family really enjoyed our stay. The house is even nicer than the photos. Our kids loved features on the ground level and all the extra space to play on the property. We were super comfortable and had everything we needed. Only nitpick is having I wish there was a full sized blender instead of a personal sized blender, but it worked for Pina Coladas all the same :) It's in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space between homes. The quiet location is a catch-22, because access to quick food options are limited, and the smaller beach area did get quite crowded on the weekend. There is a beach across the main road which is too far to walk with kids, and I believe there is no parking at that site. We drove about 8 minutes to a drive up beach access spot that was practically empty on a Friday, but packed on the weekend, so plan accordingly and get out early if you're heading on during the busy season.

Summary: The house is situated in a nice, quiet subdivision on the bay side of the island. Farm property next door provides a serene view and is a great place to sit and watch the sunrise. Also enjoyed a gorgeous sunset from the little balcony in the bunk bedroom. Screened in porch was nice since the mosquitos were swarming from all the rain. House is clean and well appointed; beds are comfortable. Quick, easy drive to the beach and back. Good communication from the owners, and they worked with us to reschedule when I came down with COVID right before our originally scheduled dates. Really enjoyed our stay!
