Positive: I’m really glad I booked a stay at Kians Place, not only was the location great, being just minutes from the beach and the main road, but the room was super spacious, new and very comfortable. With the shared kitchen space and balcony it felt like I had the whole floor to myself. Compared to a lot of places nearby, you get so much value for money here because the rooms are massive and have all the amenities you could need. The hosts were so warm and welcoming as well. The owner and his family sometimes stay on the bottom floor, and his brother on the second floor where my room was. Because of the size of the whole place however it was very quiet and felt very serene. The family also brought around baked goods from their bakery and also made me fresh juice, which was very lovely of them. The place felt very secure and safe, and was in a very ideal location. The owners are also super responsive and great at communicating. They helped me with my random queries and questions and were such a lovely family. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Madiha, as you’ll experience the best Sri Lankan hospitality and get to support the local community as well.

Positive: It’s a gem of Madiha. A really cozy place , very close to the surf’s points, doctors house, shop, bus stop. It’s very quiet here, as the balcony faces the forest. Room is clean, full of light. The owner and his brother are very helpful. WiFi didn’t reach the upper floor well so the next day they brought the extender.

Positive: Excellent location and the service provided by the host was exceptional. Very safe place and near to Miriasa whale watching spots, Weligama serfing spots , Galle Dutch Fort ect... The host Charitha was very professional, he also arranged us a taxi for site seeing and the price was lower than the market rate. I would definitely visit this place during my next visit to Sri Lanka and will recommend to my friends.

Positive: This was hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed—no question about it. From start to finish, everything was just perfect. The host was one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He helped us with anything we needed—whether it was renting a scooter, giving us local recommendations, or just checking in to make sure we were okay. You could tell he really cared about making our stay special. Throughout our time there, they brought us fresh mango juice and homemade baked treats made by his wife, which was such a lovely surprise and made us feel incredibly looked after. His brother was also always around to help—he knows everyone in the area and made things so easy for us, whether we had a question or needed help arranging something. The room itself was beautiful—spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. It honestly felt like a little oasis. Out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this was by far the best. Everything about it—from the hospitality to the space itself—was just on another level. If you’re even considering booking this place, stop thinking and just do it. You won’t regret it. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience you’ll remember. Also there are some really good cheap places to eat close by to it :’)

Positive: Kian’s place is a three-story home, and we stayed on the third floor for six days. Since the host works at the Weligama Marriott Hotel, the interior of the house was as good as a hotel. A newly installed air conditioner made our stay even more comfortable. The house is close to the beach, and Cargills Food City is just outside on the main road. The neighborhood is well-maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere, and the view from the third floor is truly outstanding. We stayed on the third floor, which has two rooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed and is shared among guests. There is a washing machine, too. Complimentary drinks were provided, so we felt safe drinking the water. The house also has four bicycles available for free use, which made it easy for us to go to the beach or run errands. You can take a bus to Matara city from the main road or go by tuk-tuk as well. We were especially thankful to the young couple who owns the house—they made us fresh fruit juice and were always welcoming with smiles. They were ready to help us anytime we needed. If we come to Matara again, we’ll definitely stay here again. Now, we are in Colombo. We already miss there and them, especially their lovely son, Kian.

Positive: An amazing stay! The place was truly great. The bathroom was large, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped — perfect for cooking meals. Positive: I truly enjoyed my stay here! The place offered great value for money, with a clean and comfortable environment. The cleanness of the rooms and common areas was impressive. The facilities provided were more than sufficient, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The big washroom was a pleasant surprise, offering plenty of space and comfort. Positive: The best place in Sri Lanka. The family who owns it is very generous and friendly. We had a great time staying here. The rooms are clean and beautiful. They had two bicycles that you could borrow all the time and made it easy to get to all the good restaurants and beaches nearby. 10/10 :) I hope to come back one day❤️
