Negative: Very noisy, you can hear the neighbors talk. No plants or decorations in the room like the pictures. Please note that the pictures on Booking are from multiple different rooms, which is confusing.

Positive: This is a comfortable appartment in a not so nice neighbourhood, but the location was right because I had to be in that part of the city. It is also only a five minutes walk of the lively part of Kadiköy, which is also not so beautiful but very entertaining.

Negative: The kitchen was so badly equipped that I only used the fridge. No kettle, no microwave. It would also be useful to have some oil, salt and pepper, because I hate to buy these things for a stay of only six nights and then throw them away. The place is fairly expensive as compared to other studios, so then if you also can't prepare breakfast, you can equally well go to a hotel.

Positive: The location is good and quiet. Netflix for the kids was available. Good aircoditioning.

Negative: For the price, you can find real 5-star hotels just a little further away. The day before, we stayed at a nearby hotel for half the price. This apartment was definitely not an upgrade. The location on Google Maps is inaccurate, we had to walk up and down the hill for the location. There is also no reception. All communication is handled online, which feels impersonal. The shower drains so slowly that the water builds up and essentially turns into a small bath. There is also no bedside lamp, which would have been useful since our kids were sleeping on the couch.

Positive: Big room with a sofa and cooking utilities. Comfortable bed. 10 minutes walk to the Kadikoy harbor. Many local restaurants nearby. Washing machine and clothes drying rack provided.

Negative: 1. The apartment is hard to find using Google Maps. It was great that the staff sent us detailed roadside signs. 2. We met no physical staff (all chats were online) during the entire stay. We received the key code to enter the building and apartment. The reception floor was still under construction, so it felt like a makeshift team. 3. There was one night that the entire region stopped the water supply, but we were NOT notified ahead of time. We spent a long day sweating under the sun, but found no water for a shower. This is why we rated 6/10, though all the hardware is good. They REALLY should have let us know.

Positive: The room was large and well appointed. The furniture was well designed. Lively nearby street with all department stores, restaurants, souvenir shops. 10 minutes walk from the Kadıköy Çarşı (kadikoy bazaar) and Bahariye street. Parking in the street is difficult but there is an otopark right beside the hotel. The owner/manager allowed us to check-out an hour late.

Negative: The hotel name is written as Khalkedon Pansiyon in front, and Google Maps show a location 70m off the actual location. The entrance is narrow and steep... having better lighting would help.

Summary: Great location, spacious, value for money.

Positive: Amazing little apartment with everything you could need for a visit. The location is amazing. Out of the way of the main area, but super close to everything. Great coffee shop at the end of the street. Shops close by for basics. 10 min walk to the centre of Kadikoy. Very clean. Felt safe. Great aircon, shower, wifi etc. Airport taxi was 10/10

Positive: Special thanks for Khaldun, he has helped to take the suitcases to the room and to take the taxi - both things were not possible without his great help and kindness. , but the sofa is perfect. Refrigerator, Internet, air conditioning and kitchen - all these are good. For the 'normal' tourists - we were just transit tourists for three days with a baby and thousands of bags - the hotel would be great, I guess. And once more - many thanks 🙏 to Khaldun.

Negative: The hotel has the elevator, but if you are traveling with a lot of big suitcases and a baby stroller - there are some problems, because to reach the elevator you need to go upstairs and the corridors are very narrow. There is no balcony and it was a bit noisy in our room, because the floor is ceramic tiles and the guests upstairs move the furniture.
