Positive: The 1 bedroom villa that we booked is located right below the two bedroom villas, it has a glass window with the 180 degree view around the hill of Munduk/Gobleg area and you could see the ocean and Singaraja city on a distance during clear day. We loved the fact that the place is pet friendly so we could travel together with our 13 years old mini schnauzer. We also liked the design of the 1 bedroom villa that we booked, we would wake up seeing the green hills in front of us. We liked the fact that they provided real coffee (not the packaging/sachet one), and they seem to get the coffee from the farmers around the area (not the usual Balinese coffee that we get in Kuta/Seminyak area). The staffs are friendly and very responsive via WhatsApp. The ground itself is on a cliff so be prepared to take stairs, but on the very last level at the bottom, you could really enjoy the fresh air and scenic view of the valley on the outdoor seatings. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. Bugs were present but not an issue, and since it's high altitude mosquitos was not an issue (a counted less than 10 during the 5 nights stay) and they were not as aggressive. Water dispenser (with hot, cold, and room temperature water is provided), as well as own refrigerator in our room (that's a plus)! Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay at the Kayukopi villa and definitely would come back. Thank you for the hospitality.
Negative: Some of the stair steps going down could be a bit difficult especially for older people. The first ramp going down after the kitchen area is a bit slanted and the railing was not as helpful, we're at our 40s so it's not much of a problem, but I would be worried if I had to bring my parents or elderly. One of the stair step going down to the lower level (1 studio villas) needs to be maintain as it's worn out. The safety railing on the common area at the lowest level could be better specially for kids. Keep in mind the property is in the slope of a valley and could be very steep if you fall down. I would put a better railing for safety (especially for kids). The food was good but not great, breakfast could have some improvement (I would still rate it 8/10), some of the western food I ordered was great (pasta, chicken parmigiana), but the fried rice could have some improvement (rice was a bit tough/hard). In our 1 bedroom villa, the toilet has no door and basically just part of the room (open air), it's part of the design but it's just weird not having a door to the toilet (literally behind our beds separated by segmented wall only). The most important thing is to have some hangers (which I would think it should be basic needs for any accommodations or hotels) to hang your clothes. A basic one would do but there was no place at all to hang our clothes (just drawer). One last thing is I wish they have a proper dining/common area for all the guests to hang out or have meals. It's amazing that they deliver to the room, but in our 1 bedroom villa there's no proper dining table, it would make the property more appealing if you have a dining area outside your bedroom.
Summary: Amazing 5 nights at KayuKopi Villa! Experience we would not forget!

Positive: The staff at Kayu Kopi were very accommodating, polite and friendly. When I was there it was a group of young lads, who would hang out around reception/kitchen, smoking. Bit weird, but they were very nice and kindly gave me a lift on their bike to the hike start point and back for 1/5 of the price of a local taxi (which was extortionate for a 5 minute journey). The staff were very responsive on WhatsApp and quick to answer any questions. The cabins are sweet enough, very cosy when it rains and the garden and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The view from the terrace/veranda was very nice. And of course it is nice that they are pet friendly.
Negative: - wifi was terrible - wouldn't connect on my phone and I had to sit in bed to use it - there's some bar or karaoke thing or something nearby with loud bass that goes on incessantly, feels like you're at a festival. not relaxing at all - the menu is very basic and mostly western food ? I chose the curry which was nice though. only lager beers no other drinks or wine. breakfast is American or pancakes ??? staff recommended me to order from Munduk farmhouse which was okay but not ideal. - no pool or grounds other than the weird terrace/veranda thing. nowhere for the dog to really go and nowhere for me to go if I'm not out hiking or in the cabin. they could make so much more of that space and the grounds around it. - the bed is on a mezzanine level, the stairs for which are a total deathtrap and the dog almost broke his neck going down them so I had to barricade him up on the mezzanine and panicked all night that he was going to fall - SO MANY BUGS - the "kitchenette" area very strange - a big fridge, a water machine (you could hear it boiling the water every ten minutes, annoying) and a big cabinet that had nothing in it. Would be far more homely if it was a proper little kitchenette area. - bathroom had no extractor fan. very damp.
Summary: fine, but wouldn't stay again

Summary: She spectacular view but disrupting noises made it uncomfortable

Positive: It was peaceful and serene. The view is breathtaking! The staff was trying their best to help us and make our stay more enjoyable. Really great people. Breakfast comes with an amazing view. The dinner was delicious even though they recommended other places to order from.
Negative: The sheets were “washed” but I they weren’t clean. Or the bedding was white but it didn’t look white anymore. This seems to be relevantly new hotel, lacking many things. But even then the comfort of sleep should be the priority.
Summary: Gorgeous view in a tucked away area
