Positive: Been 40 years since my last trip to Nepal. Like the fact there is a modern hotel and food I can eat. It was conveniently located near to the airport. Maybe if you had more information about the area places to go etc.. Shopping mall inside the hotel was great especially the mounteering equipments.

Negative: Only thing was the toilet was not very clean and toilet seat was slightly broken.

Summary: Pleasant and uneventful. Staff great. Very kind and courteous.

Positive: Customer service across the entire hotel was phenominal. Regardless of whether you were having breakfast, dinner, needing directions to the shops or Thamel, seeking information on the use of the spa, sauna, steam room, or simply having a drink at the bar, ALL staff were incredible. As I said to my husband, despite staying in hundreds (if not thousands) of high end hotels all around the world, the staff/service at The Marriott Kathmandu, were superior.

Negative: The buffet at dinner: The food was at best luke warm, and not hot. The lights used to keep the food warm were inefficient. The same is true at breakfast; I had to ask the waitress to heat up my bowl of porridge in the microwave!

Summary: Excellent; restful and relaxing after an 8 day hike to Everest BC. Just what we needed.
