Positive: The hotel has three different buildings, the vhari wing opened 2026 and is the newest. The beach is overall clean and the water most of the time clear. The rooms were clean, the food ok and a generally well organized hotel for its size. The pools are sometimes cloudy, nevertheless offering good choices for kids. The sunbeds, if you get one, are comfy and the pool bars offer a good variety of snacks. The Katathani Beach is a middle-class Hotel, definitely not a 5-Star, it's not bad but for its price too basic and standard.

Negative: Too many people, struggling staff to manage everything. Plastic cups in the bars, worn out pool area and beach bar. Due to the mass of tourists individual requests are nearly impossible. If there is an issue, front desk staff don't understand you due to lack of English knowledge. The beach area close to the hotel fence is dirty and full of bulky waste. Rooms: The rooms are extremely loud. You can hear conversations through the walls and due to the very bad doors which don't close properly (missing seals) you hear every service trolley, luggage and buggy rumbling down the floor. If you are in the oldest building close to the street, you hear everything. The music from the restaurants, every car and motorbike like it's inside your room. Every door is same, changing the room doesn't solve the problem. The interior is drawn by the humidity, old and worn out, the curtains are shabby. It's all clean, but far away from expectations when paying 300-500$ per night. All inclusive means you have the all inclusive menu which is a poor variety of drinks at the bar and only a certain value at the a la carte restaurant. I haven't seen the new vhari wing, can't speak for that. The new year's event: Great organization, stunning banquet, great band on stage, amazing buffet. But squeezing ~1000 people along a buffet is risky. Ways from an to the table were long, food cold when reaching. Table close to the stage too loud. The raffle was boring, nobody listened.

Positive: The rooms are feels very old they need to upgrade the rooms. Hotel is big with good facilities. Nice beach/sea.

Negative: Rooms are outdated, especially curtains feel like they are there for 20 yrs.
