Positive: Spacious and well fitted out. West facing balcony great for viewing sunset but without covering warmed the lounge and kitchen area on warm days.

Negative: Lounge furniture was not comfortable. Oven not working. Steep hill to climb up from Hastings St and Main Beach, not sure we would choose again. Strange to enter and leave by main bedroom. Also works going on in next property, noisy at times.

Positive: Clean, quiet and convenient location. Easy walk to popular places, cafes and eateries.

Negative: One bedroom had two single beds that made it very cramped and a tight space (too cramped for two adults). There was no room at all to open a suitcase (even on the floor). There are no luggage holding racks at all - they would not have fitted in either bedroom. The deck is a great space however there is no cover or shade from the sun. In desperate need of an awning or big umbrella for sun protection. The drive is incredibly steep and may scare people - there is however street parking if you are not game. There were no pantry staples other than salt and pepper.

Summary: Casa Katharina provides clean and quiet space. Probably not for more than 2 adults 1 child

Negative: The pool is quite small and the apartment is in an old building.
