Positive: Location - You can see the wave from the house. No other place like this in Estonia. Kitchen is also helpful. Sauna for extra charge.

Positive: We fell in love with Hiiumaa and especially Kalana. It is one of the best places on earth. If you seek for perfectly calm place but still want to feel the people and the world around you this is the right spot for you. The guesthouse is nearby to a small harbour where you can go for a drink or dinner, just a few steps to turist pathway in pine forrest which takes you to the beautiful beaches nearby. Fully equiped kitchen in the guesthouse and lot of places to sit and eat or just chill inside or/and outside, parking right next to the guesthouse, dog friendly. We had a room with balcony, it was big enough, with private bathroom.

Positive: Right by the sea, beautiful, clean.

Negative: Difficult to check in as you need to call and we didn’t have a cell eSIM so we messaged them and luckily he checked his messages and found us and let us in. He wasn’t happy that we weren’t able to call him.

Positive: The guesthouse house was almost empty so we enjoyed having private terrace and grill and our dog could enjoy holidays without a leash. Sound isolation in the rooms is also pretty good. Kalana became a special place for us.

Negative: Hunters hut interior details. Sorry, but we are not fans of horns and other countryside elements. Attention to interior details might do this place so much better and worth extra money for the visit.
