This gorgeous contemporary house has everything you need for a fantastic beach holiday or short stay in Kakanui. There are 2 bedrooms with super king bed in master and 2 singles in the guest room.
The section is fully secure with off-street parking. You have the whole place to yourself.
Kakanui is about 15 minutes from Oamaru along a very scenic coastal road.
There is a corner store with some takeaway food and a bottle store. Brydone wholefoods is only 5 minutes away with a nice selection of produce. There are supermarkets and many great restaurants 15 minutes away in Oamaru. You also have one of the very best restaurants within half an hour - Riverstone Kitchen just north of Oamaru.
There is a well equipped kitchen if you want to eat in. We recommend the farmers market in Oamaru if you’re here on a Sunday.
Special conditions:
This is our beach home and we love to use it whenever possible. We appreciate if guests treat it with care and respect so we can all enjoy.
Please remove footwear inside the house and leave the house clean and tidy.

Summary: We had a great stay at the Kakanui Cube. The house is well-designed, modern, clean, with all the amenities you need (laundry, sharp knives, comfortable bed, plenty of space). We slept so well with the sea air nearby, and woke up early each morning to catch the magnificent sunrises. Equally enjoyable are the sunsets — the way Kakanui is situated you can enjoy both over the ocean. The house is in a rural area so WiFi bandwidth can be an issue — it may not be practical to expect to be on zoom calls or stream video for several hours a day.

Summary: Lovely property. Looks exactly like the pictures online. The nearby beach is really nice. Easy walk to get there. We did Learn to Surf Kakanui, which was a highlight of our trip. The Cube was so perfect for our family. We loved our stay. Thank you!

Summary: Loved the place. Very smart and beautifully furnished. Loved watching the waves roll by. Kakanui is a very quaint little spot. Only issue is that from the photos I thought there was direct access to the beach from the house but that wasn't a problem other than managing expectations. Highly recommend it!
