Positive: The room is very spacious and new. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is also big with big bathtub. Though its location is not near the pier but in walking distance. And when it requires us to walk a bit, i think we have a chance to appreciate the suburban surroundings and the real residential vibe.

Negative: Breakfast is nice but the portion is a bit small. I stayed in some other nice hotels in Japan and this seems to be a normal portion though.

Summary: Very nice hotel.

Positive: A warm, boutique-like stay. The restaurant was amazing quality. The staff was absolutely friendly and efficient and helped with any reservations we could possibly came up with. Shuttle is always available and a huge plus.

Positive: Traditional Japanese breakfast, loveliest and most accomodating staff I’ve ever met. They helped us book multiple dinners, made reservations, picked us up from the ferry and helped us book day trips and were very communicative every step of the way. They even came out to offer us bug spray when we were sitting on the patio at sunset.

Negative: Expensive but completely worth it to support this island community and make sure it continues to thrive and stay as genuine and beautiful as possible.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Kanasuba on Zamami Island! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming—they truly went above and beyond to ensure everything worked out in our best interest, which made us feel incredibly well taken care of. The nearby beaches are absolutely stunning and a must-visit if you’re in the area. One of the highlights of our stay was the BBQ on the terrace; we highly recommend it—the atmosphere and food were both fantastic. The fine dining restaurant at the property was also a memorable experience, offering beautifully presented dishes with amazing flavors. A perfect blend of warm hospitality, great food, and natural beauty!

Negative: It’s important to keep in mind that Zamami is a very small island with limited resources, which also affects the range of facilities the property can offer. While the essentials were covered, some amenities and conveniences you might expect elsewhere may not be available here. But for us the stay was amazing - a once in a lifetime experience really!

Positive: All perfect, staff are very friendly and welcoming, they picked me up, helped me find and reserve snorkeling activities, and they gave me a free rental snorkeling tools to snorkel solo. One thing that is phenomenal is the dinner course, 5 stars, exquisite and excellent, definitely worth the value! Big thanks to the Chef :)

Negative: The location is tricky, god knows how many times I got lost getting in and out the hotel and going through mazes to find it
