Positive: I stayed one night at Junos, when I walked the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. What I like about this accommodation is that it’s different from all the other ones, in a positive way. It’s modern and cosy at the same time. Everything you need is there: fresh and clean room, great bathroom, washing-/drying machine, a kitchen where you can make a cup of tea. And nearby there’s a bakery, convenience store and several restaurants. Last but not least, the people who run the place are very friéndly and helpful. Junos was really a little gem during my pilgrimage.

Negative: It’s room only, without breakfast. This was okay for me, but some people might miss it. I went to the bakery and convenience store in the morning.

Positive: Communal area was super, lovely to have use of fridge and kettle. Room was lovely.

Negative: It’s not that we didn’t like this… we just think we were the only people staying and hadn’t been made aware of this. All the lights were left on downstairs all night long (they were on when we came down in the morning). We locked the outside door, but no one told us to…there was no one there when we left in the morning, and we tried to lock the door but couldn’t.

Positive: The interior where we had dinner and breakfast, very beatufully designed and creates a wonderfull atmosphere. My bedroom and all the facilities, very ambitiously laid out. Breakfast and dinner are homemade and made for each order. For dinner the owner and her easy going and charming co-host dined with the us to make a wonderfull authentic japanese experience. A true highlight of my journey. Thank you Junos. Togo.
