Positive: We had such an amazing time at the Monteros apartment! Honestly, the pictures on Booking.com really don't do it justice. This place is something special. The location is incredible. It's quiet and beautiful, and you can walk to this gorgeous beach in just a few minutes. I kept thinking we had it all to ourselves! I still can't believe we got such a great deal. Seriously, how is this place so affordable? I was already wishing we could stay longer by day two. The apartment was super clean and way bigger than I expected. Having two whole floors felt like we were staying in someone's actual house rather than just a rental. They really thought of everything. We didn't need to worry about forgetting anything. This was definitely one of our best trips. The hosts were so nice and welcoming too. I keep telling my friends about this place because more people need to know about it! We'll definitely be back.

Positive: The place was much bigger than expected. The host was very responsive and provided the basics to get us started (cooking oil, salt, a few snacks, beers, and milk). Location was fantastic! Right on the beach with parking directly in front of the house. A few restaurants were within walking distance. Hiking trails and sites were also very close by. Having a washing machine was a huge bonus.

Negative: Everything was great. The place was a little musty but that was to be expected due to being on an island.

Positive: The location just in front of the beach (just a street to cross) is great. The inner patio with a BBQ, a tap and an open shower is very convenient. The kitchen is nice. Cosy and spacious house. Free parking just in front. 2 bathroom is a good solution for a house.

Negative: Stray cats come to check you out to see if you crack. If you do, do not feed them at the property. Teflon cooking pans are way too worn out. Thankfully there are some stainless steel alternatives.

Positive: Comfortable, well equipped house in superb location (just across the street from Praia dos Mosteiros beach), fully meeting our requirements for relaxing holidays. We were a bit afraid to be so close to the street, but there was no disturbance from that side. There is patio behind the house with fireplace, fully protected from the street, where you can relax. We didn't experience any discomfort there. There are 2 grocery shops in the area with all you need. There is also bakery Padaria Paniconfianca at the eastern end of the village with late opening hours where you can get fresh buns made of kneaded dough. From the local restaurants we have visited we liked Restaurante Ilhéu the most. Contact with Silvia (house owner) was fast and easy via messaging, we have discussed quickly on anything we needed. We enjoyed the stay in the house very much, spending there over one week. We would definitely recommend this place for the ones looking for ease and relax.

Positive: Well equipped house near to the beach.

Negative: The ground floor is wet, moldy and was not ventilated. The bedrooms under roof doesnt have any aircon, so it was pretty difficult to decide where to sleep. I do not recommend to peoply with allergy.
