Positive: We really enjoyed our stay here. Peaceful country setting yet close enough to towns and stores and dining options. The Kilkee Cliffs are beautiful and only 20 minutes away, Bridges of Ross and Loop Head Lighthouse a little further down the peninsula. All great places for walks and sunsets. Great fish and chips at Keating’s in Kilbaha (near Ross Bridges). On weekend evenings don’t miss Sa Domu wood-fired pizza 12 minutes from the cottage. An interesting little railway museum is near the pub, 7 minutes away. The cottage itself is bright and cheery and super comfortable. Nice, spacious kitchen and rooms. The hosts are awesome and live nearby, and very responsive if you need anything. The horses were a joy to get to know, and feed carrots to. Definitely would stay here again!

Summary: Joe’s Cottage felt like home, open and bright, quiet and comfortable, very enjoyable stay.

Positive: We loved the remote location on a farm. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was good to go. The beds were comfy and showers were easy to figure out. If I ever come back to Ireland we will destroy again. Also, can we get the recipe for those muffins?

Negative: Nothing, everything was great.

Summary: It was a fun visit and my first time overseas and we felt safe and at home.

Positive: Such a beautiful house, in a beautiful part of Ireland. The owners really did go above and beyond.. showing us the horses, donkeys, and goats. Also telling us beautiful places to visit. The house it's self was faultless! Will definitely be booking again!

Positive: Everything was very nice. The host was very nice and responsive. Answered all the questions that arose during the visit. There were treats and a folder with important and useful information left in the cottage. The house had everything we needed. We only bought some little things ourselves. We felt at home. We would definitely like to come back. We are grateful for how well the host had created a description of the cottage on booking.com so that we could make the right choice and be happy with it! Although the cottage and the surroundings looked and felt much better in real life than in the pictures :):):)

Positive: the location of the house is very good, you are in Kilrush in no time, there are shops, petrol stations, pharmacy and takeaways right on site - 5 min drive max. you are not far from beautiful destinations, apart from the super nice road trips which are very scenic. The house itself is in a lovely quiet location, the house and its surroundings are a gem. A little piece of heaven that Kevin has created there. The kitchen is superbly equipped, the beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms spotlessly clean. We felt absolutely comfortable and at home in this house for 9 days. it really is a little piece of heaven that takes you away from everyday life. The mini ponies, the horse, the donkeys and the goats... It was simply a dream. If we could have, we would have stayed even longer <3

Positive: Joe's cottage is a really great spot! The house is very comfortable and has everything you could want and more, including a well equipped kitchen and utility room, comfortable beds, great views and some friendly resident goats, ponies and donkeys. It is close to Kilrush and is a great base for seeing more of this beautiful corner of the world. Lots of excellent places to eat nearby. Kevin was a very helpful and friendly host at all points before and during our stay. Would hope to visit again.
