Positive: Attention to detail makes your stay that bit more special! Beautiful romantic setting in the fields with lovely pool and outdoor seating areas. Swing chairs and picturesque bungalows. Breakfast superb. Staff relaxed, friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome.
Negative: Not close to restaurants, cafes or the town. Staff were very helpful offering complimentary drop off at the temple and food delivery.
Summary: It's all the little things that make this so lovely!

Positive: What a nice, familiar stay! We loved our stay and Bobby! It was a little, authentic place, with very cute and comfy bungalows. We loved it! The pool was very clean and the breakfast was well taken care off by the super friendly staff ☺️ We would go back!

Positive: The staff including the owner Bobby were very friendly. I could ask them anything and nothing was too much. Bobby asked every day how and where I wanted to have my breakfast. I felt very welcoming and it was a good first period of my stay in Indonesia. Also the accommodation is very small but very beautiful. With the most amazing view.
Negative: The accommodation is a little far from the center of Yogyakarta.

Positive: We stayed in the premium bungalow for 3 nights and it was great - spacious, comfortable bed, useful little fridge, nice bathroom, and a deck that we lounged on quite frequently. The grounds are beautiful and have a gorgeous outlook over fields to the trees and mountains in the distance. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and varied. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with travel, eating, and site-visiting tips. A great place to while away a few days in the countryside, where the calm was especially welcome after the noise and pace of being in cities.
Negative: It's clear that this is in the country so dinners weren't super convenient, but we either ate from the little foodcarts just outside or ordered in. This wasn't at all a problem and was far outweighed by the joys of being in such a serene place.

Positive: We travelled as a family for leisure. Awesome breakfast, can choose between options like pancake, omelette. Fresh fruits with aromatic coffee/tea. Big shout out to Bobby's few ladies staff! Rooms are comfy & quaint decor. Strong dependable wifi, all rooms come with functioning air-conditioning, bathrooms have heated water some with bathtub! Can laze in bed or in Bobby's pool, or Bobby will help to arrange city tour to Prambanan, Malioboro Street, plus any restaurant, batik shop, or attraction you'd like to explore in the immediate Magelang area or further. Dining was not an issue (we were worried that Janur Bungalow would be too remote) as any Grab or Gojek car will take you in no time to the many wonderful dining restaurants around Magelang area! With yummy food!! We did not have to order take in at all! Airport transfers can be arranged with Bobby in advance without much hassle, just give him your flight details prior to arrival! Our lovely drivers Wisnu & Ikshan, were on time and a joy to be with! P.S. If any of you would like to visit Bromo or Semarang, ask Wisnu for help - e.g for Mount Bromo treks :P
Negative: If you are a light sleeper, you'd take some time to get used to the call to prayers starting as early as 4am daily. We were mentally prepared as the area is Muslim. Which also means no need to set alarm clocks! If you'd like a magical detox from the hustle of city life, Janur Bungalow is the answer for you. As the rooms are close to nature, you'd be showering with geckos calling on the roof, and the occassional lizard dropping on the bed sheet or shower tray that may eek you out transiently. Nothing a quick wipe cant solve! Eventually, we got used to these small things, and by the time we had to leave Janur, our souls had much opened to the beauty of nature and quiet pace of life & thus we were sad to go!
Summary: Quiet stay in Magelang, near Borobodur temple area. Perfect city escapade.

Positive: Want to go off the beaten track? Come to Janur Bungalow. Perfect for skipping off the grid. Want to change up your routine? Get a nature holiday at Janur. Day trips out can be arranged directly with Bobby easily.
Negative: If you dont like animals you may take some time to get used to the in-house cats. But we loved them! They were comfortable with human touch and fun to play with. Cleanliness in certain parts of the room could be improved. Overall a wonderful stay to unwind and recharge.
