Positive: Want to go off the beaten track? Come to Janur Bungalow. Perfect for skipping off the grid. Want to change up your routine? Get a nature holiday at Janur. Day trips out can be arranged directly with Bobby easily.

Negative: If you dont like animals you may take some time to get used to the in-house cats. But we loved them! They were comfortable with human touch and fun to play with. Cleanliness in certain parts of the room could be improved. Overall a wonderful stay to unwind and recharge.

Positive: We travelled as a family for leisure. Awesome breakfast, can choose between options like pancake, omelette. Fresh fruits with aromatic coffee/tea. Big shout out to Bobby's few ladies staff! Rooms are comfy & quaint decor. Strong dependable wifi, all rooms come with functioning air-conditioning, bathrooms have heated water some with bathtub! Can laze in bed or in Bobby's pool, or Bobby will help to arrange city tour to Prambanan, Malioboro Street, plus any restaurant, batik shop, or attraction you'd like to explore in the immediate Magelang area or further. Dining was not an issue (we were worried that Janur Bungalow would be too remote) as any Grab or Gojek car will take you in no time to the many wonderful dining restaurants around Magelang area! With yummy food!! We did not have to order take in at all! Airport transfers can be arranged with Bobby in advance without much hassle, just give him your flight details prior to arrival! Our lovely drivers Wisnu & Ikshan, were on time and a joy to be with! P.S. If any of you would like to visit Bromo or Semarang, ask Wisnu for help - e.g for Mount Bromo treks :P

Negative: If you are a light sleeper, you'd take some time to get used to the call to prayers starting as early as 4am daily. We were mentally prepared as the area is Muslim. Which also means no need to set alarm clocks! If you'd like a magical detox from the hustle of city life, Janur Bungalow is the answer for you. As the rooms are close to nature, you'd be showering with geckos calling on the roof, and the occassional lizard dropping on the bed sheet or shower tray that may eek you out transiently. Nothing a quick wipe cant solve! Eventually, we got used to these small things, and by the time we had to leave Janur, our souls had much opened to the beauty of nature and quiet pace of life & thus we were sad to go!

Summary: Quiet stay in Magelang, near Borobodur temple area. Perfect city escapade.

Positive: the property manage by a heart warming family, quite and yet still have Javanese village's vibe.

Negative: the owner always improve the property, new spot and new design. Breakfast was a splendid experience. Love the cats interaction.
