Positive: Just a nice atmosphere, pub opposite was welcoming and very reasonable price wise, nothing we were short of. Not accessible for wheelies though due to 2 steps and narrow space to turn inside. Stairs not steep so if ambulatory also easy to get up. Not suitable to charge mobility aid in car. I have battery that comes out easily to go on charger. These aren't complaints just letting others know things friends of mine look at.

Positive: Great location, lots of local shops café and pubs close by. The house was very clean and had everything you needed for our stay. Eateries close by and menus available for takeaways.

Negative: The only thing we had problems with was the shower, unfortunately it didn't work properly for the whole week. We did contact the owner and he came straight away but couldn't fix the issue so was waiting on a gas engineer to call to fix the issue. Unfortunately he never arrived in time before we left. I hope the shower is working now.

Positive: The house was located on a quaint street lined with cobblestone parking areas. When we arrived, we collected the keys via a lockbox, which was convenient. Inside was a spacious lounge that led into a dining kitchen, and then a conservatory. Upstairs were two spacious bedrooms, one with a king bed, and the other with 2 twins. Towels were provided. The bathroom was also upstairs. The property was also dog friendly with no extra charge, and they provided everything needed to clean up any messes a dog might make. That was a huge plus.

Negative: There were no major cons at all. We were under the impression we could use the garage to park, but were unable to. Parking could be an issue out front at times and we were uncertain about leaving the car in the car park behind the houses, but most of the time everything went smoothly. The house was very hot for some reason. We thought at one time that the radiators may even be on, but they were not. It was actually very pleasant outside so we couldn't understand why it was so warm inside. We ended up buying a pedestal fan off marketplace from someone down the road, and opening a lot of windows every time we were at the house to get some cool air through. Still a very nice house!

Positive: Everything about jackdaw house was perfect, very clean everything we needed was there, including a bottle of wine, and snacks, nice touch. We had a slight problem with the TV which was no problem, sent a text message to Steve and he came to sort it. A lot of thought has gone into this property to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. Full marks from us.

Summary: (August 2025) A four day visit to Bridlington, which was enhanced by the quality of Jackdaw House.

Negative: The slated fench between the neighbor and shared garage gate could do with filled in for a bit more privacy. Everything else was great 👍
