Positive: Spacious room with a nice bed.

Negative: The views are not amazing as you cannot see much from the double cladding of the building. The breakfast floor was dirty with stains. There was also a lot of dust in the fridges. The sizes of a-la-carte breakfast was way too small. The staff was super not interested in the guests. The carpet in the room was also dirty, which is unacceptable for the hotel and the price paid.

Positive: The hotel itself is very good, but the view from the window does not match the photos at all. There is another window behind the one you look out of, and the whole effect of the city view is lost. In other words, you shouldn't expect fantastic views of Shanghai. These views can only be seen from the floor where the reception is located. The rooms themselves are good, all new.

Positive: Great luxury room with amazing view. Spotlessly clean with extreme attention to details. Great breakfast with lots of local and European variety.

Negative: Choose a premium room instead of skyline for the view. We upgraded our room for the 2nd night of our stay and it was so much better.

Summary: One of a kind luxury experience with great views and staff.

Positive: Our stay at J Hotel Shanghai was perfect from the very first moment we stepped in. The atmosphere and the attention to detail made us feel instantly cared for. Every aspect of the hotel radiates thoughtfulness and elegance. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding, both in variety and quality. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, and we were fortunate to enjoy a guided tour with Eve, who was simply wonderful. Not only she showed great knowledge about all the details in the hotel design and vision, but she was also extremely kind and dedicated to giving us attention and making this a memorable stay. It is rare to experience such a seamless combination of luxury, care, and warmth. J Hotel Shanghai exceeded every expectation, and we cannot wait to return.
