Positive: 1) Ryokan has traditional atmosphere and open-air onsen. It was great to relax in such a peaceful place. 2) Dinners and breakfasts were a piece of art! Meals were served in a beautiful way and consisted of numerous Japanese dishes and delicious local fish and beef. 3) All staff members were helpful and friendly. Ryokan owner was really nice and easy-going, it was great to have some small talks with her.

Positive: The staff at the ryokan were all very friendly and welcoming. The woman's onsen was quite small but very relaxing and clean. The room was bright and clean. The breakfast and dinners were all great, and sourced with local ingredients. I wish that they gave us menus with our meals so we could know what we were eating exactly.

Positive: The hostess is very hospital and helpful, we love the style of running her business. Guests feel comfortable and relax in the hotel. The Japanese food is so good and various plates provided everyday. We stayed for four days and enjoyed different meal per day. There is bus stop fifty meters from the hotel and is very convenient to Takayama and some places.

Negative: Can't think of anything, it was a truly lovely and peaceful respite after a busy week in Tokyo.
