Summary: Well equipped and comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring Western Cornwall. The balcony is a particularly nice feature. Unfortunately, the oven seemed to stop working. These things can happen and it really wasn't a problem for us. The owners kindly offered us their air fryer, but we didn't need it. With so many good pubs and other places to eat out nearby, we didn't need to do much cooking in. Certainly on our list for a return visit.

Summary: Very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. The shower and bathroom underfloor heating deserve special mention! Shame the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy the lovely balcony and outdoor spaces. Peaceful location yet close to A30, enabling easy exploration of a large area of Cornwall - exactly what we wanted. Helpful yet unobtrusive owners.

Summary: Since first coming to Ivy Chimney quite a few years ago, and not long after it was first made available, we never tire of the pure escapism we feel as soon as we walk into the cottage. It's doesn't feel or look any different from when we first set foot there (apart from some very nice updates that have just enhanced the experience). It's a perfect location to explore the whole of Cornwall and close enough to be near the beaches but rural enough to be away from it all. Matt, Tam and the boys are the perfect hosts, and it almost feels like visiting family when we go there. Highly recommended to couples who want the best of everything!

Summary: Our stay at the beginning of April was nothing short of fantastic. The property was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed for the week. The owners were friendly and welcoming, giving us space to do our own thing. Although the location was off the beaten track, it was delightfully quiet and just a short drive to large supermarkets. We discovered a farm shop nearby which was a pleasant five-minute walk and had the most amazing Cornish pasties. It's worth mentioning that the kitchen/dining room had bare wooden flooring which creaked, but this didn't bother us at all. So do be aware of this. The underfloor heating in the large toilet/shower room was a welcome comfort as was the private and secluded back garden and the terrace off the upstairs lounge. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!
