It truly is all about the beach in this classic, bright and airy North Fork beach cottage that is just a two minute walk to our stunning and private sandy Bay beach. Our home has been updated and offers both a huge screened in porch and a beautiful back yard deck. Just steps to one of the most coveted Bay beaches on the North Fork, our cottage is also conveniently located to any shopping you might need just up the block. You'll be within mere minutes to North Fork favorites like Love Lane and the many countless vineyards that now dot the Fork, yet a world of peace awaits you at the calm and sparkling private, sandy association Bay beach just 500 feet away. Enjoy indoor~outdoor living at its best as our vaulted living room with skylight and ceiling fan has french doors to a huge, welcoming screened porch. The charming porch has a massive oak picnic table that seats 12 and a large separate sitting area. Galley kitchen has a large french door refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and gas stove. House offers high speed wifi for work at home, and desk. All rooms offer ductless AC. Primary bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite bath with shower and sliding glass doors to the beautiful and private backyard cedar deck, as well as a small tv, and a toddler fold out sleeper chair. Second bedroom has queen bed below and an attached loft with queen mattress. The loft area is suitable for older children or teens. There is a convenient laundry room with new LG washer and dryer set. The private, fully fenced backyard offers a sunny outdoor shower you will want to live in, a fire pit area, and of course a lovely hammock. Deck has BBQ, dining table (with umbrella) that seats 6 and chaise lounges for relaxing. Our garage has been renovated into a lovely she-shed (available in-season only) suitable for yoga, quiet work from home, or just an extra hang out space, complete with powder room and AC. (Sleeping overnight in the she-shed is not permitted, and if used, must be left in condition found.) Conveniently located right up the block you'll have access to a Starbucks, CVS, grocery store, and a variety of local shops and restaurants. At the top of the block, the famous Magic Fountain ice cream shop awaits your visit! On the charming Love Lane in Mattituck you'll find a Godiva candy shoppe, a world class cheese shoppe, wine tasting, Lombardi's specialty food market and brick oven pizza and of course, the renowned Love Lane Kitchen restaurant. There is also a Jitney stop at the top of the block and the Mattituck train stop adjacent to Love Lane. Just around the corner, beachside, children may enjoy the Veteran's Beach playground, while pet parents can walk the lovely Husing Pond Preserve Trail. Rental includes use of 2 adult cruiser bikes as well as an ocean kayak and stand up paddle board which are kept right on the beach for easy access in season. (Please request lock codes for use. Renter assumes ALL liability for water toys and bikes.) Beach shed is equipped with vests, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and a large dolly to roll all to the beach.

Summary: Quaint and quiet beach cottage that was perfect for our few days of some R&R. The cottage has everything you need for a perfect vacation, lots of amenities and spotless! We thoroughly enjoyed getting up in the morning and walking to the beach which rarely had anyone else there.The front porch was a great place to just hang out. The cottage is ideally located to restaurants, groceries and of course, lots of wineries.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

Summary: The house is very sweet, nicely decorated, and very clean. It is located on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach. Although this did not affect our stay at all, sadly the cottage next door appears to be abandoned.As is clear in the photos, one bedroom is quite small. We didn't mind the cozy quarters as we were only in Mattituck for a couple of nights. The large front screen porch and back yard are wonderful spaces. We loved the location--close to the ferry and Love Lane. We enjoyed exploring the North Fork area.The homeowner was very helpful, responsive, and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

That and the HUGE screened front porch would be amazing for summer visit! We used to live in the area and traveled to visit family for Christmas. Fenced yard was perfect for our pups.

Summary: My wife and I and our adult daughter, along with her pet dog, shared this rental for a week's vacation in early fall. This cottage is in a quiet neighborhood in Mattituck, which is a great base for exploring all the North Fork has to offer. It's a short walk to a private, sandy neighborhood beach on Peconic Bay. A 2-person kayak and a stand-up paddleboard are kept at the beach and available for use with this rental. Bikes, beach chairs and beach towels are also provided. There are wineries galore offering tastings all along the North Fork, and many farm stands offering locally grown produce. The cottage is close to grocery stores and restaurants, and The Magic Fountain, a shop featuring homemade ice cream flavors, is just at the top of the road. The cottage has two bedrooms and a large living-dining area, along with two updated bathrooms with smallish showers and a larger outdoor shower on the back deck. The kitchen is galley-style, long and narrow but well-stocked with all the necessary modern appliances. There is a huge screened-in porch with a large wooden table with bench seating, and couches and chairs as well. The deck out back is spacious with a table for outdoor dining and a gas grill. There are a pair of lounge chairs on the deck and a large hammock and fire pit in the back yard behind the deck. We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated all the amenities it had to offer. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and highly recommended!

Summary: My family and I had a great stay at this beach cottage. It was clean and comfortable. It was nice that everything was provided (sheets, towels, beach gear) as my car was already packed to the brim with stuff for my 2 kids. The private beach was so close and perfect- especially for my 2 year old who is normally afraid of ocean water. Check-in was a breeze and Joy is so responsive- even before my stay started. My family and I hope to visit again soon.
