Enjoy the comfort of our oceanfront remodeled one-bedroom, one bath condominium. Imagine being 75 steps away from the Pacific Ocean on the east shore of Kauai in the historical town of Kapa'a. From your private lanai with incredible views of the ocean, you can watch the sunrises and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean.
Our condo is a corner unit on the 2nd floor that has been completely remodeled. The condo has a sliding glass door leading our to our oceanfront lanai. There also is a window in the eating area which allows for great cross ventilation. Custom-made cherry cabinets and granite counter tops have been installed in our fully equipped kitchen & bathroom. Porcelain tiles grace the entry, bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a large tiled walk-in shower with a corner seat.
The condo comes with all the amenities listed above. Added amenities include a Fijitsu A/C mini-split system in the living area & bedroom, FREE SECURE WiFi internet connection, a 40" smart HD TV in the living room & a 32" smart HD TV in the bedroom (both with on-demand), beach toys, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, and tennis rackets for your use during your staying at our condominium.
The Pono Kai Resort is a non-smoking property. The resort provides a front desk that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is onsite free parking. Each building has a coin-operated laundry facility and an elevator. The grounds are beautifully maintained with extensive grass areas, an herb garden so you can pick fresh herbs for your meals and a Koi pond. For your convenience, there is an activities desk so you can arrange for your island adventures. A workout room has also been added. There is a 7-mile multi-use coastal path just steps in front of our condo. There is a pool/spa area and 1 tennis court, 1 pickleball court, ping pong table and many other on-property activities.
Maximum of 3 people. Children 10 and older are welcome.

Summary: Shirley made sure that we have a good vacation before and during the trip by asking our needs and provide specific instructions about check in and check out. The condo is clean and the view from lanai is beautiful. The location is perfect for commuting North Shore and South shore, close to restaurants, markets and special the bike/walking path right at the beach.

Summary: The condo was equipped with everything required for our stay on Kauai. From the kitchen utensils to beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers. There was nothing we needed to buy. The location created a beautiful view from the lanai. The owners were fabulous hosts, so kind and caring. We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: Just a perfect piece of paradise.The condo resort has everything you need. The location is excellent, and the sunrises viewed from the lanai are spectacular. There is a beach front path that allows walking to restaurants great food trucks nearby. The inside of the condo was fully renovated with new modern appliances if you wanted to stay in a cook. There are also newer Weber grills out by the pool are if you want to BBQ. We had the best time during our stay and hope to visit again. Just Perfect!!!

Summary: Great place. The resort has everything you need. The location is excellent. Beach walk right out front. We rented bikes and rode the most scenic paved Kauai trail (14km) past Keālia beach. We could walk to restaurants and enjoyed the food trucks nearby. If you wanted to cook, the kitchen was fully equipped and had common condiments. We hope to come again soon. Thanks so much.

The upgrades inside were fantastic and the daily sunrise from the lanai was amazing. Summary: Condo is located in a great central location, access to both sides of the island, close to shopping, just far enough from the airport. Nice complex, with a pool & hot tub, games available on the property. Also you can sign up for a nice chair massage by Kimo. The condo has literally everything that you need. It wasn’t hard to settle in & make ourselves at home. The extra touches go a long way in making you feel right at home. The view from the deck is really wonderful. Sunrises are extra special. The walking path is a bonus and the beach is right thetr when you walk out to the walking path I didnt swim there,but it's a nice place to hang out. You can walk io all kinds of shopping, restaurants and other activities. Shirley was wonderful to work with, very responsive and super nice!
