Summary: As a VRBO owner I struggled with leaving this review, as it is not all favorable. I decided to do it after speaking with my wife. She reminded me that VRBO and similar sites rely on trust. Trust that the site will be as promised, a fair value and well kept. I felt this property let us down on these. I will elaborate. Glen was easy to work with and always got back to us within a few hours. That said when a light/fan in the bathroom fell out of the ceiling when we turned it on I appreciated him replying, but would really have appreciated him getting someone there to repair/replace it. This happened with many days left in our stay and I couldn’t allow my grandchildren to use that bathroom anymore. I felt this was an easy fix that just didn’t happen. That same morning I was awakened to some excitement as the coffee cabinet and stove both had large roaches in/on them. We had not used the kitchen yet and I was pretty horrified that this happened. We never used the stove all week, and we would have under normal circumstances. Two bedrooms in the downstairs share a wall and water is somehow getting in to the house under that wall. There is mold/mildew evident on the wall in both rooms, but behind 1 bed so it wasn’t obvious at first. We became aware of it as the wet rug and smell were very noticeable so I went to look. We tried the air conditioner on and off…..it was too damp and moldy so I had to move my sons out of those rooms and have them bunk in with their brother and sister.

Summary: We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our family and loved every minute of this beautiful hale! A spectacular view of Diamond Head and the ocean, two hot tubs on two decks, the best stocked kitchens we have ever encountered -- and we have stayed at a lot of homes - comfortable beds, two mini vans that come with the property (a first in our rental experience and so appreciated) and the perfect location to enjoy all of Oahu without the crowds of tourist areas -- we really felt like we were back home where our marriage started in Hawai'i. Mahalo nui loa to Glen for his wonderful hosting ! We highliy recommend this special home.

Summary: This was a great place with an outstanding view of Diamond Head and the surrounding valley. This had plenty of room for our large extended family. It was well equipped with almost anything we needed. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
