Positive: Had a wonderful stay here! Lovely location in a beautiful village. The cottage is so homey and welcoming! The breakfast was incredible with a wide range of choice and the little kettle with teas, coffee and hot chocolate in the room was most welcomed. The room and bathroom were very clean and we were both grateful for the heating being on when we entered the room! Highly recommend! I am looking forward to staying here again :)

Negative: A double bed would have been nice, but obviously when I booked only a twin room left.

Positive: Excellent location. Eyam is a lovely, quiet village, with lots of routes for walking and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Negative: There was some confusion over the type of room we'd booked. When we arrived we found it was a twin room. We approached the owner to tell him we hadn't booked a twin and asked if it could be changed to a double. He was very accommodating - he asked us to just let him know when we were going out, and they would change the beds to a double. When we went down to let him know we were going out, we were met by the female owner who told us she'd checked back on her messages and told us we had requested a twin. We obviously hadn't! But she was quite insistent and made us feel very uncomfortable about the situation. They did make the room up for us as a double, as requested, though, but it wasn't a great start to the stay. So I would recommend that when booking, you contact the host to let them know whether you want a twin or a double. There is no option to choose when booking. This will prevent any awkwardness/uncomfortableness when you arrive.

Positive: the room had everything we needed and the hosts were very friendly.

Negative: b&b signage needs to be brighter. we drove past in the dark and had difficulty turning as its a single track road.
