Positive: Our guide was fantastic. Food was great. We saw some amazing animals. It was such an adventure. As we booked on booking.com we didn't realise that the accommodation was a 20 mins drive in a jeep safari van from the reception. It wasn't an issue but we wouldn't have taken all our luggage if we had known. Also we were unaware that the safari tour was included so that was a bonus. So just a message or overview on what to expect would have been great ( it might be it was sent but I couldn't see anything in my messages, emails or the website), but for us it wasn't an issue as we loved all the surprises that come with the stay. We would definitely recommend

Positive: The staff were friendly and helpful from our chef( Priscilla i think), JP our guide, the ladies at reception, and also the owner was very friendly which made us feel at home. thank you. The game drive, quad bikes, canoeing,bush walk were all a 10/10. The food was great as well. The views, the peace and tranquility in that space is unmatched.

Negative: The tents were comfortable but they could use a bit of renovation/revamping.

Negative: The staff could have done a better job paying attention to all guests. We felt we had to dig for information. Dinner took 2 hrs and eating steak that late felt hard.

Positive: The surroundings are beautiful and its easy to access from the N2

Negative: The roads of the reserve are in a terrible state, the rain didn’t help, but it seems to me more like a lack of maintenance. It felt more like a 4x4 expedition than a leisurely game drive. The vehicles are also old and the seats are torn etc. The “tents” are also very old and covered by a tin roof to avoid it from leaking into the tent. The decks are also over grown and provide you with little to no views.

Summary: For the price you pay, it was disappointing. The place needs a lot of investment and maintenance to keep going.
