Positive: Egide & Julius were great at attending to everything. The location is beautiful, the rooms huge and well set up. Hot water bottles at bed at night were almost too hot, so they did the job!

Negative: There was like warm water at best to shower. The rooms stay cold so it’s not pleasant to take a semi cold shower. I understand that no wifi in the rooms is for people to connect with the nature, but there’s not a lot to do after it gets dark at 19:00, and it’s 2025, put WiFi in them.

Positive: The Team were extremely attentive and could not do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. This lodge is one of the best accommodation I have visited. From the decor, set up, staff and food, all were at an excellent standard.

Positive: This is a unique property. Each guest has their own cottage with a very large bedroom, bathroom, and front porch. The property has a beautiful garden in back and a fire pit seating area in front. The food was excellent. And the location was ideal, close to Volcanoes National Park.

Positive: We stumbled upon this hotel when the one that I booked was unacceptable. The staff was so warm and welcoming even we were not guests yet. It is a high end affordable luxury hotel. All meals are amazing. The rooms are extremely comfortable with fire places and warm bladders. They give you a foot massage when you come back from hikes. The location is easy to find, right off the main road near the Dian fossey/ellen museum-which is worth a stop. Do not hesitate to book here.
