4 Bedroom Place in Te Haroto

We are located 1 Hour from Taupo and 45 Min from Napier off State Highway 5. Our accommodation is basic but clean. All rooms are dorm style and accessed off the deck so it means a few steps outside will be required to get to the kitchen, bathroom and toilets. The kitchen has a double oven, fridge & freezer. The bathroom has 2 showers and there are 2 toilets available. Heaters are available in each bedroom and the kitchen.
Please note - prices are on a per person basis.
We have turned the wool-shed into a "man-cave" with a BBQ, pool table, large screen TV and DVD/surround sound system available for you to use. There is a gas patio heater and large gas blower available to keep the cold away. With no neighbours to annoy, you can play all night and not disturb anyone! Minimal light pollution also makes for an excellent place at night for stargazing.
There are eels to feed and plenty of farm animals to keep the kids entertained.
Directly out from the shearers quarters accommodation there are fenced off paddocks perfect for games such as backyard cricket etc.
With the beautiful Mohaka River as our farm boundary we have easy access to 4km of secluded fishing spots. Spend some time trying your hand at fly fishing or spinning and chances are you will catch a trout. Fishing permits are required and available online or through 'Hunting and fishing' stores in either Napier or Taupo.
There are plenty of private swimming spots to enjoy a dip on a hot day.
For the more adventurous you can go and hunt wild rabbits or goats on the farm then learn how to prepare them for consumption! (Note: if you do not have a firearms licence then you must be accompanied by the farm owner).
We have paintball gear for 15 people, clay shooting, an indoor rifle range, a beautiful gully walk and other activities which you can try - P.O.A and bookings essential.
If you want somewhere to get away and play or even just to read a book away from the crowds in a private setting with friends or family then this is the perfect place!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a working beef farm. Some areas of the farm are dangerous, and animals are always unpredictable especially when being moved. Guests must discuss access to the farm with Craig or Lana. Permission must be obtained.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this farm. We really enjoyed the hosts. Super fun people that made the stay more enjoyable. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner as there was mouse activity. Other than that it was an awesome stay.
